Gui Ke stood where he was, frozen in place.

His subordinates cautiously studied their clan chief. Gui Ke's face was flushed crimson, and smoke practically seemed ready to rise from his head.

Suddenly, Gui Ke's body trembled. He spat out a huge mouthful of blood. A dignified God Emperor had actually been angered into coughing up blood.

Even during his great battle with Gui Hong, he had not suffered any injuries. Yet now his body swayed unsteadily, as though he might collapse at any moment.

"Why?! Why did it turn out like this?!" Gui Ke roared. He could not accept it. After coming into contact with the Heavenly Court's experts, he should clearly have risen to the pinnacle.

But now, everything had gone against him, and he had fallen into such a state.

"I don't know either. All the True Gods guarding the formation cores said no one had entered, yet the formation cores were somehow destroyed!" His subordinate trembled as the God Emperor's aura erupted from Gui Ke, making it difficult for him to endure.
