"If the contents are true... this book could be the beginning of an entirely new field of study!"
After reading the preface and table of contents of Psychodynamics, Avada couldn't help but marvel.
"Why was it in the Restricted Section? Did it contain dangerous magic or records of experiments in addition to purely theoretical discussions?"
"Even so, they could've excerpted the purely theoretical material and compiled it into a separate book... Or is even studying the theory dangerous enough?"
Wondering about it, Avada opened the main text and began reading it carefully.
"Part One: An Overview of the Structure of the Mind... It's much like what I've discovered myself, even a little rough around the edges. But some of the finer details are worth noting. There are quite a few things I hadn't considered. I should write them down."
He casually pulled a notebook from his bag, then took out ink and a quill and quickly jotted down his thoughts and the ideas that came to him as he read. Before long, he had finished the first part, which wasn't difficult for him.
"Part Two: A Logical Notation for Describing Changes in Mental Energy... Huh?!"
"You can record changes in mental energy with writing? Is that for real?!"
Avada's shock was only natural: this was something he'd wanted to do for ages, but had never managed!
His Magic Sense let him see the magical structures of everything in the world, but those structures were hypergeometric and impossible to reproduce in the real world. So, after discovering that there was no way to record them other than memorizing them, Avada had kept trying to invent a system of logical notation for describing magical structures. The existing symbols weren't enough for him; in fact, they didn't even belong to a coherent system.
