After the magic show ended, the crowd gradually left Madison Square Garden.

Backstage.

Zatara casually sprawled on the chair, his heels propped up on the dressing table, the chair tilting back so far it almost fell over. He didn't look like an elegant Great Magician at that moment, but rather a grown man, whistling and holding nail clippers, sharpening his nails, waiting expectantly for his assistant.

Beneath that lies another side of him is an absurd, unruly, unconventional, even dissolute and flamboyant personality.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have used magic to become a Great Magician among ordinary people, enjoying their admiration.

'Knock knock knock'

A slender, upright English butler with graying temples and a slightly wrinkled face knocked politely on the backstage door, then rudely opened it and came in.

Upon hearing the knock, Zatara's eyes lit up with interest. The chair she was leaning back in stopped at a 75-degree angle, and she stopped manicuring her nails, turning to look at the door.

Zatara's initially enthusiastic gaze dimmed the moment he saw the newcomer, and he gave a helpless, lifeless purse, clearly disappointed in the visitor.

The butler, with his tall and imposing figure, approached Zatara, bowed slightly, and said, "Young Master, many of the elders in the family are very dissatisfied with you."

Zatara sneered, "Dissatisfied? They'll only have the right to be dissatisfied when they defeat me with magic."

He came from a strict magical family and was disgusted by the many rules and restrictions. After mastering the Family's magic with his best talent and becoming the most powerful magician in the Family's history, defeating the old guys in the Family, he chose to become a great magician in the eyes of ordinary people.

This choice is fantastic! You get admiring glances, cheers, beautiful women, money, and a glamorous lifestyle, instead of that lifeless house where all you do is study magic.

Knowing his young master's arrogant nature, the butler was not surprised at all. He bowed slightly and said, "The British Magic Association Alliance has issued a condemnation, stating that you have crossed the line."

Zatara stood up abruptly, his black leather shoes clicking crisply on the ground. He raised his head slightly, surveying the world with disdain, his eyes cold, and sneered, "The rules of the Britain Magic World have no effect on me."

"They have no right to interfere in my life."

He has some Britain ancestry.

Britain has been a land of magic since ancient times, and the Zatara Family is a member of the British Magic Association Alliance, with a long history and many enemies.

Such outrageous use of magic, such vulgar performances for ordinary people, gave them a reason to attack.

"I will naturally test my skills against the old guys at the Magical Society of Britain and see what right they have to restrict my life," Zatara sneered. "Bradbury, go back and send me another challenge to the Magical Society of Britain."

Bradbury's butler maintained a solemn and serious expression, yet remained calm as he said, "Young Master, there's a new generation of successors in the Magic Association who doesn't like you and are preparing to teach you a lesson."

Zatara raised an eyebrow, snorted coldly through his nose, and looked impatient and indifferent in his eyes. "Them? The people of this generation are no match for me. It would be a waste of my time to fight them."

Even knowing young master Zatara's strength, Butler Bradbury still felt that the young master was too arrogant. The strangeness, mystery, vastness and unfathomable depth of magic meant that no one knew what strange magic might suddenly appear that could easily defeat someone. When facing a magician, it was hard to really say who was stronger or weaker.

It's like summoning magic, summoning a demon or angel—such a powerful creature that could completely turn the tide and cause mutual destruction.

For example, there are Mind Magic, fear magic, magic that manipulates the five senses, puppet magic, irony magic, soul manipulation, Control Probability, time and space magic, curse magic, voodoo magic, and so on. There are simply too many kinds of magic, which are bizarre and powerful, and cannot be underestimated by any magician.

Zatara's attitude is a major taboo for a magician; he is too arrogant, conceited, and lacks reverence for magic.

Bradbury's butler sighed inwardly, thinking that if the young master didn't change his personality, he would suffer a great loss sooner or later, and his life would be in danger.

The butler Bradbury, remained expressionless, maintaining his solemn and serious demeanor, and continued, "Master used his Bloodline Guidance to detect the young master's Destiny. The young master may be in danger in the near future, so Master sent me to stay by your side."

Zatara's arrogant expression faltered. Bloodline Guidance was a spell cast using Magic Bloodline, a spell that would shorten lifespan and diminish magical power, easily causing the caster's bloodline to wither, leaving them like a corpse.

Even though he knew that his father might be able to control the extent of his power and there wouldn't be much of a problem, he still couldn't help but feel worried.

"Is that old guy... alright?" He asked hesitantly, his face showing concern. He didn't have a good relationship with his father; they had even fought. No magic was used, just fists and feet. How could that old guy be a match for him, a young man? He was beaten so badly that he got two black eyes. Then, he left home in a huff.

"The master has only lost twenty years of his lifespan; it's nothing serious. He hopes you can come home," said the Bradbury butler.

Zatara's expression was no longer flippant, arrogant, or sneering. His face was calm. He knew that he might really be in danger, which was why his father had used Bloodline Guidance to sense his Destiny. However, at the level of twenty years, he could only sense the danger of a life-or-death crisis, but he couldn't see the specifics. He couldn't sense anything else.

That's why his father wanted him to come home, using the entire Family to protect him from any life-or-death crisis.

He pondered for a moment and said, "If even I am in danger, then the rest of the Family is even less reliable. There is no need to implicate the Family members."

After Zatara finished speaking, he suddenly smiled freely.

He wanted to see what dangers could put him in a life-or-death situation.

His magic is not to be underestimated.

Butler Bradbury felt relieved. The young master didn't have any grudges against the Family, but he was just annoyed by a bunch of old fogies lecturing him with all sorts of rules. They weren't even strong enough to beat him up, and they were just nagging. No wonder the young master beat up some of the older members of the Family before he ran away.

"Master is already searching for Madame Xanadu, wanting to know the future for sure so he can prepare accordingly. Young Master, you should go home!" Butler Bradbury was worried. If even the young master's life was in danger, then the family would indeed be unable to withstand it.

Even if it's too much to resist, the elders of the Family will step in and stand resolutely in front of the young master to shield him from any danger, even if it means death.

But magic is truly bizarre. Even with a vast army, it's not as powerful as possessing a drop of blood or a hair to cast a curse, which is enough to kill a person.

Magic cannot be measured by the number of people.

'smack'

At that moment, a young man rushed in, banging on the wall as he burst through the door and shouted hurriedly.

"Young Master! I can't find him!"
