The sea wind howled through the night, waves crashing and spraying foam.

Ba Di came ashore and gave his body a shake, instantly scattering the water streaming from him. He ran both hands through his soaking hair, sweeping his shoulder-length locks back to reveal a hard, sharply defined face. The scar on his face gave him an unruly, arrogant air of disdain.

The droplets shaken from Ba Di's body became a fine mist, carried by the sea breeze onto Hank's face, snapping him out of his stunned expression.

There was no way he could not be stunned. They had only just completed their deal with Falcone when this man suddenly appeared, wearing absolutely nothing.

That was right—not a single stitch of clothing. Not even underwear.

His tall, powerful body possessed the beauty of a Greek sculpture, while scars crisscrossed his flesh. He looked like a work of art carved straight from a battlefield.

The sea breeze blew the mist onto Hank's face, bringing him back to his senses. Only then did he turn to look at the middle-aged and elderly butler opposite him.

The one who could make decisions on the other side would not be Mario, a little fellow brought out to gain experience. If Hank had not been so trustworthy and fair in business, this kid would have long since been robbed blind.

Of course, part of it was also because a mafia family like the Falcone family was not one Hank could afford to provoke, though Hank would never admit that.

The person who could truly call the shots was the middle-aged and elderly butler watching anxiously from the side. When Hank turned and saw that even the butler wore an odd expression—

Hank relaxed slightly. This was not a double-cross. Then again, if it were a double-cross, why would someone crawl out of the sea? They would have simply drawn their guns and opened fire.

Both groups stared at Ba Di in unison.

Ba Di did not feel the slightest shame. His spine was straight, and everything describable and indescribable was displayed in full.

It was just a naked body. What was there to make such a fuss about?

His gaze swept over Hank and the others, then over Mario Falcone, past the suited subordinates and butler behind him, before finally returning to the greasy black oil drums and the two cases.

His eyes rested on the case filled with U.S. dollars. He needed dollars right now as well. Whether he wanted to build his grand empire or start a business, having a sum of money was indispensable.

Ba Di's gaze lingered a little longer as he activated his X-ray vision and counted the amount inside: one million dollars. He was not particularly satisfied with that figure, but it would do as initial funding for his career.

X-ray vision was an ability Ba Di had developed after spending months crossing more than half the United States, basking in the sun every day. Once enough had accumulated, he had gained it.

Seeing Ba Di staring at the money, Hank became annoyed. What did this naked freak mean by nodding at his dollars as if they already belonged to him? He pulled a Colt Python Revolver from his waist and aimed it at Ba Di, sneering. "What are you looking at, bastard?"

Hank's action immediately made the atmosphere tense. His men drew their guns as well, aiming them at Ba Di. There were pistols, AK Rifles, and more.

Those actions also put Mario's side on edge. They drew their weapons too, some aiming at Ba Di, others in Hank's direction.

The middle-aged and elderly butler was secretly alarmed. He had not expected these brutes to bring rifles. Fortunately, his side had an RPG Rocket Launcher in the back, as well as grenades. Overall, they would not be at a disadvantage.

But the young master's flesh was precious. How could he possibly suffer any harm here? Even having his skin grazed by a stray bullet would count as a loss.

Before Ba Di could speak, the butler stepped forward and warned Hank, "Hank, our transaction is complete."

The completed transaction meant that Hank's troubles were no longer his concern. Whether Hank robbed someone, was robbed himself, or killed someone, he would not interfere. He did not want any accidents to befall his young master.

After speaking to Hank, the butler bowed slightly to his own young master. "Young Master, it is time to go home."

Mario Falcone clearly had little experience with this sort of thing. He stood there blankly for a moment, glanced at Ba Di's naked body, and a flicker of pity passed through his eyes. Still, he followed the butler's instructions, picked up the case, and turned to return to the butler's side.

Hank did not stop them. Just as the butler had said, the deal was complete. Whatever Hank wanted to do next, whether killing someone or anything else, had nothing to do with them.

Hank spat at his feet and said contemptuously, "Since when did the Falcone family of Gotham become so cowardly?"

The butler answered with a gentlemanly smile, "The Gotham Police Department recently got a troublesome police officer. The master said that it is best to avoid needless trouble whenever possible."

Hank snorted, cocked the hammer back with his thumb, and grinned viciously. "Then before you leave, you can witness my killing."

The butler was somewhat taken aback. He had intended to leave early precisely because he did not want the young master to see this. He had not expected Hank to be so decisive as to open fire immediately.

Still, watching Hank kill someone was only a trivial matter to the Falcone family, not much of a problem. At most, the police would question them. What worried him was that it would be Mario's first time seeing such a scene, and he might react badly.

Bang!

Ba Di had silently watched them put on their performance. He disliked meddling in others' affairs most of all, and he also disliked others meddling in his.

Gotham, Falcone... From their conversation, Ba Di finally realized that he had swum all the way to Gotham.

After the gunshot rang out, Ba Di watched with an indifferent gaze as the bullet tore through the air, spinning red-hot toward his heart.

He gently raised his right hand, and the nail of his middle finger caught the edge of the bullet at just the right moment.

The bullet spun like a red-hot razor, shaving away fragments of Ba Di's middle fingernail bit by bit and throwing off sparks. It veered away from its original trajectory and flew past Ba Di's left side.

The nail that had originally extended past the flesh was shaved away by the bullet. Though some nail fragments had been left jagged and rough-looking, it did not matter. A few more shots from a few different angles, and it could be trimmed as neatly as if he had used nail clippers.

Before this, he had considered using an electric saw to cut his nails. He had not expected bullets to perhaps work even better.

Ba Di nodded, rather satisfied.

Hank, Mario, the butler, and both groups were frozen stiff with shock at what Ba Di had done.

He had deflected a bullet with his fingernail??? All they saw was Hank firing one shot. The sound was loud enough that even the howling sea wind could not drown it out.

Then Ba Di raised his right hand before his chest, and his middle fingernail scraped out a string of sparks. The bullet was knocked away and fell into the sea.

Hank stared wide-eyed, mouth agape. After a long while, he finally came back to his senses and looked down at his Colt Python Revolver. A 9mm revolver, available in brushed stainless steel and a polished version as flawlessly smooth as a mirror, combining beauty and power.

This handgun was definitely one of the finest revolvers in the world.

But now... the result of that shot had short-circuited everyone's minds.
