Pamela Isley's face was slightly flushed.

Ba Di had brought her out on the excuse that he lacked a secretary, then taken her straight to a trendy clothing store, where every outfit cost enough to cover several months of her living expenses at school.

In a daze, she had been asked to put on this dazzlingly beautiful red short evening dress. Her hair had been let down as well, and her whole person seemed to radiate red—passion, heat.

Yet Ba Di was dressed entirely in white, as pure as white light shining into one's heart.

There was no lust in his gaze, only the delight of appreciating something beautiful. "It looks good. Beautiful."

Pamela Isley smiled seductively and happily spun around in place.

She thought Ba Di, dressed in a white formal suit paired with a white overcoat that reached his heels, possessed a restrained yet striking charm. The scar on his face, combined with his neat and scholarly-looking white attire, gave off a radiant glow. He was so handsome, so captivating.

Though she was still young and had not seen much of the world, she could tell that Ba Di was no ordinary man.

Ba Di smiled in return, quietly watching the beauty ripple like a crimson candle flame while he was like a white moth.

The moth did not fly into the fire, but the flame burned against its body.

Pamela Isley turned on her heel and looped both arms around Ba Di's arm.

Ba Di smiled. "Touring Gotham with you today has been a great gain."

Hearing him, Pamela Isley happily agreed and offered to lead the way wherever in Gotham he wanted to go.

Still, some of the places Ba Di wanted to visit struck her as a little strange.
