Establishing a Divine Plane

Spatial Turbulence stretched vast and boundless. The Four Supreme Planes, the Seven Great Divine Planes, and the countless Material Planes occupied only a tiny fraction of it. Without a Sovereign Artifact Body or Willpower, anyone caught here would be swept away and reduced to dust. And only Sovereigns could move freely through Spatial Turbulence.

Desterie hovered close to the Mulan Material Plane and chose a relatively open area. He raised his left hand slightly, and a mass of condensed Fate Sovereign Power appeared in his palm. Just gathering this much Sovereign's Might had taken several hundred years.

The Creation God Plane was a gift from the heavens to the Sovereigns.

Anyone who refined a Sovereign Spark and became a Sovereign could create a divine plane simply by activating a trace of the rules contained within the Sovereign Spark. Even a Paragon could never comprehend these rules; only a Sovereign Spark contained them.

Creating a divine plane did not require a Sovereign to ponder the matter on their own. They only needed to immerse their soul completely in the act of creation.

Each time they created a divine plane, they gained new insight. Different types of Sovereign Sparks also yielded different insights.

The sphere of Fate Sovereign Power expanded instantly, enveloping Desterie. The terrifying energy contained in the vast amount of Sovereign's Might set the sphere trembling, and the faint power it exuded shattered the surrounding space.

Boom! The sphere exploded.

Crack! In an instant, a colossal spatial rift a million miles long ripped open. The blast was so powerful that even if its force had been spread out, it would have been enough to injure a Lower Sovereign. It was simply astonishing.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions erupted throughout the void, gleaming like a succession of dazzling white fireworks.

Centered on Desterie, the explosions continued spreading into the open expanse, their affected area expanding without end.

The next moment, with the power of fate at its core, the seven elemental forces appeared, surging together to fill the region.

The Fate God Plane was the equivalent of a miniature Heavenly Realm. Of course, even if all seven Fate Sovereigns joined forces, they could not create a true "Heavenly Realm." That was the authority of an Overgod!

A plane had to be founded upon elements. The seven elemental laws naturally possessed this quality, so a divine plane created by a Sovereign of the Laws could meet the requirements simply by gathering the elemental force of their own element. But to create a divine plane founded upon one of the Four Rules, they had to rely on the seven elements.

Unfortunately, even though the elemental forces had appeared, Desterie had no understanding of the wondrous way they combined. He could not comprehend the elemental laws by creating a Fate God Plane, even if he had an elemental Divine Clone as well. That was a rule of the Sovereign Spark.

In an instant, the area reached by the explosion of Fate Sovereign Power had already surpassed a hundred million miles. The exploding Sovereign's Might was like a general: every drop of Fate Sovereign Power could control countless strands of fate and bring about profound changes. The Sovereign's Might itself spread across a range of a hundred million miles, while the power of fate and the elemental forces of every kind covered tens of billions of miles.

"This is what is fated. This is what is uncertain. This is foresight. This is the 'Charter.' So this is how they can be understood and used..."

The divine plane created by a Sovereign was perfectly attuned to their soul. Every change and insight was crystal clear and irresistible, like a beautiful maiden slipping off her gauzy robes to reveal every secret to her beloved husband.

Insight after insight welled up like spring water. Desterie was overcome with delight and sank completely into it...

As Desterie's Fate Sovereign Clone created a divine plane and comprehended the rules, his Destruction Divine Clone no longer stayed cooped up. He set off for the Life God Realm.

Of the Four Supreme Planes, Desterie knew the Heavenly Realm best, and he was fairly familiar with the Netherworld as well. But he rarely visited Hell or the Life God Realm. He had traveled through all the major planes while searching for the Supreme God Token, but he had been in a hurry throughout the mission and never had the chance to appreciate their splendor. So, this time, he had two reasons for visiting the Life God Realm: first, to take in its local customs and scenery, and second, to find an opportunity to choose one or two Sovereign's Emissaries.

He had been a Sovereign for nearly ten thousand years and still had no Sovereign's Emissary. There probably wasn't anyone else like him.

Like the Netherworld, the Life God Realm had only one continent, so it had no name of its own. Unlike the Netherworld, its continent lay in the middle of an ocean. At the center of the continent was an enormous lake, vast enough to hold half of the Zijing Continent.

This lake was called the "Lake of Life." Five enormous rivers connected it to the surrounding ocean. They also divided the entire continent into regions, each governed by one of the seven Sovereigns. The outer sea and the lake itself both fell under Vivian, the Sovereign of Life.

The Life God Realm had five Teleportation Arrays, located at the four corners of the continent and in the Lake of Life.

Desterie had teleported to the broadleaf forest in the southern part of the continent.

"Is this the Broadleaf Forest Teleportation Array?" Desterie emerged in a flash of light and muttered to himself as he looked at his surroundings.

The guards who had been throwing their weight around fell silent. A Highgod who could instantly tell where he was had to be a mighty expert capable of crossing planes!

"Heh. If I remember correctly, the Edric Clan has a stronghold a million miles from here. Let's go there and ask around."

With that, Desterie shot into the sky as a streak of black light, like a meteor streaking across the heavens, and vanished without a trace.

Seeing his speed, one of the soldiers cried out, "He's a mighty expert! One even stronger than the Corps Commander!"

"You're sure? You're not joking, are you?" The other soldiers could accept that he was a mighty expert, but stronger than their Corps Commander... Their commander was famous even among the Asuras!

"There's no mistake. I once saw the Corps Commander when he was hurrying somewhere. But Lord Corps Commander wasn't even one-tenth as fast as that expert. And remember, the Corps Commander is an Asura who follows the Laws of Wind!" the soldier explained.

"Ten times faster than an Asura who follows the Laws of Wind!" The squad leader had hurried over after noticing the commotion. Hearing this, he blurted out, "Could he be a Paragon Highgod?"

"A Paragon? We saw a Paragon? Then my life's been worth it! From now on, I'll tell the lads that I've seen a Paragon Highgod with my own eyes!" one burly soldier laughed.

"Exactly! I've heard that plenty of experts who've fought on the Plane Battlefield have never seen a Paragon. This is something we can brag about for the rest of our lives!"
