Before him appeared a vast, partially illuminated holographic map of the Titan Divine Body. Thousands of green points blinked across it—Biological Beacons established by players across the entire server that he had already recorded.
Several hundred of them had even been built with his personal involvement. During the early stages of the game, when they had pushed battlefronts across various regions, they would usually set up a Respawn Point every few dozen or hundred kilometers before digging trenches and fighting positional warfare.
In truth, there were far more Respawn Points than that. The major guilds had dedicated "scout squads" whose sole job every day was to sprint through maps and plant Biological Beacons in safe corners as backups. Some traveling player groups also dropped Respawn Points as they went, lest they suddenly died and saw all their efforts go to waste, forcing them to run the map all over again.
If players wanted to respawn at a beacon, they either had to have personally visited it before or recorded its absolute coordinates, or they had to know the "relative coordinates" between that beacon and their current region.
For example, if a newcomer died in the liver and learned Emerald City's absolute coordinates from the forums, they could directly enter those coordinates and respawn in Emerald City. Of course, few reckless newcomers would choose to respawn in a high-level region.
If players knew the relative location, such as "there's a Respawn Point 100 km ahead," they could likewise respawn at that Biological Beacon.
