[Tom Pie] lay behind a fold in a flesh membrane several hundred meters away, his pitch-black eyes fixed firmly on the battlefield.
After hunting alone for more than a month, he had reached LV31. He was among the top tier of newcomers in the open beta, yet he still could not catch up to those early top players.
A few minutes earlier, the Gray-Black Quest Panel had provided two coordinates at once. He tossed contaminated flesh stained with his own black blood near the two monsters, then left a trail of scent to lure them toward the same lesion.

The two Kinfolk encountered each other beside the lesion, and their instinct to Devour Kin quickly overwhelmed their desire to hunt him down. They immediately tore into each other.

The LV32 Kinfolk covered in bone spikes clearly had the advantage. It suddenly lashed out with its tentacles, forcibly tearing off half the Flesh Worm's body before biting open the glowing gray energy core in its chest cavity.
