Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Lowgod 190 Naturally reaches this realm upon attaining adulthood as a Divine Beast. His true form already makes ordinary Lowgods no match for him.
Highgod 147 190 Before becoming a Sovereign, creates a miniature cultivation plane within spatial turbulence. Accounts of the war ten thousand years earlier credit him with killing numerous Highgods.
Wind Sovereign 147 426 450 Obtains his Sovereign Spark from the White Tiger, one of the Four Divine Beasts. His former miniature-plane cultivation chamber is abandoned after he becomes a Sovereign.

Background / History

Before attaining sovereignty, Beirut carved out a miniature plane within spatial turbulence as a cultivation site. Its elemental density was nearly one hundred times greater than the cave in Mist Valley later used by Lin Feng 147.

Beirut risked his life to seize the Four Divine Beasts’ four Sovereign Sparks, taking them from the Sovereign of Light’s grasp. He obtained his own Wind Sovereign Spark from the White Tiger and concealed the remaining Sparks in Yulan behind an array that only a Sovereign could break. Even Paragon Highgods sent by Augusta could not seize them 147 386 426 450.

Augusta’s hostility kept Beirut confined to Yulan for ten thousand years. To secure protection for his Darkness Divine Clone in the Infernal Realm, Beirut paid the Sovereign of Destruction half of the Four Divine Beasts’ essence blood 198. That protection enabled the clone to serve as Prefect of Youlan Prefecture 415.

Within Yulan, Beirut commanded one of the three principal factions of secluded Saint Realm experts, alongside the War God and the High Priest. Desri, Rosalie, Tulilei, and Rutherford directly followed his orders 167. He also placed the Northern Region under his protection, deterring powerful cultivators from threatening the Temple of the Goddess of Ice and Snow 408.

Appearance

  • Human form: An elderly-looking man wearing a simple black robe, with disheveled long black hair and a black beard reaching his chest 168.
  • Eyes: Small but exceptionally bright, compared to stars; a faint smile commonly rests at the corners of his mouth 168.
  • Voice: Hoarse and raspy 168 195.
  • True form: A God-Eater Rat 293.

Personality

Beirut is playful, calculating, and willing to exploit an opponent’s ambitions for amusement. Offended that Adkins sent a Lowgod intermediary instead of visiting personally, he deliberately announced a thousand-year wait for the Necropolis. When Adkins eventually approached him, Beirut raised and dashed his hopes before provoking the confrontation he had already prepared for 195 211 212 213.

His affection for family and friends is sincere. He spends heavily to assist Beibei’s cultivation and becomes delighted when Beibei introduces Nisi as his wife 211 385. He values Lin Feng’s patience and independence, while repeatedly warning him against dangerous opponents 169 215 267 329.

Despite his strength, Beirut recognizes his limits. He acknowledges Augusta’s power and refuses Oufu’s invitation to the Celestial Realm because he suspects ulterior motives and knows how greatly Oufu surpasses him 385 425. His attachment to Yulan centers on preserving its lineage; the narrative contrasts this with Qinghuo and Lin Feng’s more personal attachment to their human hometowns 210.

Abilities & Skills

Cultivation and Divine Clones

By his latest documented appearance, Beirut possesses three bodies. Neither of his cultivated Laws has reached Paragon, despite both being only one final step away 459.

Body Realm / Position Cultivation
Original body Saint Realm Divine Beast Retains exceptionally powerful innate defenses 459.
Darkness Divine Clone Highgod; Prefect of Youlan Prefecture Darkness Laws remain one step short of Paragon 296 329 459.
Wind Divine Clone Wind Sovereign Wind Laws remain one step short of Paragon 450 459.

God Eater

God Eater, also called God Devouring, is Beirut’s signature Innate Divine Ability. Its reputation spreads throughout the Infernal Realm and into other Divine and Supreme Planes 292.

  • It is reputed to be overwhelming against opponents of the same realm 329.
  • Paragons and holders of soul-defense Sovereign Artifacts are identified as exceptions to its normally lethal effect 292.
  • Beirut suspects that Mossi’s exceptionally powerful three-element mutant soul might also withstand it 329.

Physical Strength and Defense

Beirut’s body is described as tougher than a Godhead and capable of contending with Sovereign Artifacts barehanded 292.

  • Adkins’s full-force strike with a Highgod dagger fails to break the skin on his head 213.
  • With two staff swings, he destroys Adkins’s Light and Darkness Divine Clones; the first strike also shatters a Highgod weapon 213.
  • Qinghuo considers Beirut’s innate bodily defenses superior to those of his own human body even at Paragon level, and judges their overall strength to be roughly equal 459.

Divine Sense and Soul Techniques

Beirut uses divine sense for communication, observation, and interception 188 195.

  • Broadcasts a message to every god-level expert remaining in Yulan 195.
  • Overhears private soul transmissions between Lin Feng, Olivier, and Desri 188.
  • Knows what occurs inside the Necropolis, including Doehring Cowart’s return as a god-level expert 192.
  • Teaches Soul Bewitchment, an advanced soul technique, to Lin Feng’s Wind Divine Clone 338.

Spatial Manipulation and Sealing

Beirut can create cultivation spaces and repair damaged interplanar seals 147 188.

  • Carves his pre-Sovereign miniature cultivation plane out of spatial turbulence 147.
  • Freezes space at the breached Bosha Dam and uses a giant black palm to interrupt the escaping prisoners 188.
  • Repairs the dam’s sealing array, a task he states requires at least Highgod strength 188.
  • Protects the Sovereign Sparks with a separate array that requires Sovereign-level power to break 386.

Necropolis Administration

Beirut controls access to the Necropolis of the Gods rather than merely enforcing an externally fixed schedule 211.

  • Opens separate entrances for human and magical-beast Saint Realm participants 170.
  • Explains the guardians, floor divisions, and ten-year exit arrangements 170.
  • Publicly announces a thousand-year opening interval, but admits that the opening time is his decision 195 211.
  • Warns entrants that he cannot save them from outside if they die within the Necropolis 170.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Black long staff — An intact Sovereign Artifact whose aura frightens nearby Midgods; used to kill both of Adkins’s Divine Clones 212 213.
  • Soul-defense Sovereign Artifact — Complements his extraordinary physical defenses 292.
  • Metal Castle — His residence in the Forest of Darkness and a top-tier Metal Lifeform, far superior to the bandit-looted vehicle used by Lin Feng’s group 195 219.

Resources Provided to Others

  • Soul Stripping fragments — Obtained at tremendous cost through Dunnington to assist Beibei’s comprehension of the Laws 211 244 385.
  • Soul-protecting treasure — Given to Beibei before his travels in the Infernal Realm 217.
  • Godhead dagger — Given to Beibei with Beirut’s power sealed inside; that stored power can be activated three times 219.
  • Processed water-style Lowgod Godhead — Supplied at Lin Feng’s request for Nina 213.
  • Azure Dragon blood essence — Supplied to Lin Feng, who uses it to strengthen his Wind Divine Clone and members of his family 357.

Relationships

  • Beibei — Descendant and cherished grandson figure; the only God-Eater Rat among Beirut’s descendants. Beirut’s protection of him discourages enemies from attacking either Beibei or Lin Feng 168 200 385.
  • Lin Feng — Protégé and friend. Their relationship develops from formal respect into trusted discussions of cultivation and shared plans concerning Augusta 169 267 385.
  • Qinghuo / Leilin — Fellow Yulan Sovereign and close associate. They observe Lin Feng’s battles together and support his cultivation 251 252 385.
  • Nisi — Beibei’s wife, welcomed enthusiastically as Beirut’s granddaughter-in-law 385.
  • Harry — Son and one of the three Purple-Gold Rat Kings; entrusted with keeping Beibei at the Metal Castle during cultivation 211.
  • Desri, Rosalie, Tulilei, and Rutherford — Saint Realm experts directly under his command 167.
  • Taros — Friend and former manager of the Necropolis’s first eleven floors 213.
  • Utrered — Sovereign of Destruction and protector of Beirut’s Darkness Divine Clone in the Infernal Realm 198 415.
  • Augusta — Sovereign of Light and bitter enemy; his hostility drives Beirut’s long confinement to Yulan and careful handling of the Sovereign Sparks 198 386 416.
  • Adkins — Highgod who seeks access to the Necropolis and attacks Beirut after being manipulated; Beirut kills both of his Divine Clones 211 212 213.
