Background / History
Olivier and his younger brother Blumer grew up in an ordinary commoner family. After their parents died, Olivier protected and raised Blumer, later teaching him his sword techniques. Olivier shunned material comforts in favor of travel and solitary cultivation. He defeated Dillon soon after reaching the Saint Realm, then spent three years cultivating on a desolate mountain outside the O'Brien Empire's capital 108 120.
Olivier confronted Lin Feng after Lin Feng injured Blumer during a match. Lin Feng defeated him in two exchanges, and Olivier acknowledged the loss while promising to challenge him again. Olivier then challenged Haydson, who had overwhelmed him six years earlier. Their rematch left Olivier with severe bodily injuries and soul trauma; Lin Feng healed his body, and Olivier survived 120 121 122 131 132 133 139.
Olivier left for the Arctic Icefield to train. During his later cultivation there, he lost an initial bout against Bauditch but fought him to a draw eight years later. Olivier subsequently killed Haydson with a single sword strike. By the time Lin Feng and Desri found him in an iceberg dwelling, he had become a god in both Light and Darkness 139 157 165 185.
Olivier joined Lin Feng and Desri against Beaumont. His strongest strike helped defeat Beaumont but also cleaved the Bosha Dam, releasing imprisoned powerhouses. Olivier accepted responsibility and offered to help protect the Baruch Empire. After later deciding that remaining in Yulan offered him little opportunity to fight stronger opponents, he set off alone for the Infernal Realm 185 188 189 209.

His distant manner contrasts with his devotion to Blumer: he raised his brother, worries about his injuries, and warns him against recklessly using forbidden techniques.
