Treasure Pavilion

Ji Ya owned the Treasure Pavilion in Lingyue City, one of the city's most profitable workshops despite not being its largest. As one of Lingyue City's few alchemists, her pavilion produced roughly one-third of the city's pills. Her exceptional beauty and aloof demeanor drew cultivators from across the city, though she remained cold toward male visitors, including talented sect disciples. 8

She acted as Han Weiwei's protective senior sister. When Han Weiwei insisted on hunting in Yellow Sand Canyon, Ji Ya arranged for Dugu Yuyun to protect her. 10 She later recognized Han Weiwei's exceptional cultivation talent and gave her Ice Spirit Pills and Mysterious Nether Immortal Lotus to help her cultivate an Ice Spirit Root. 117

Eastern Yao Sacred Land Conflict

Ji Ya personally endured the extreme cold and heat of Mitian Valley to obtain Mysterious Nether Ice Lotus. 117 When Han Weiwei was critically endangered, Ji Ya was willing to use the lotus and a level-five ice demonic beast's inner core to preserve her body and soul. She vowed vengeance against the Eastern Yao Sacred Land should the attempt fail. 187

The Eastern Yao Sacred Land had sought to force Ji Ya into marriage, reportedly because she was a spirit-root cultivator needed for a cultivation technique. 351 This conflict became a defining reason for Wei Suo's opposition to the sect and Ji Ya's eventual reliance on him.

Partnership with Wei Suo

Ji Ya became Wei Suo's dual cultivation partner after he rescued her and Han Weiwei from the Eastern Yao Sacred Land. Ji Ya, Han Weiwei, and Nangong Yuqing travelled across hundreds of thousands of miles in just over ten days, exhausting themselves while following Wei Suo's coded signals.
