Wei Suo began as a poor rogue cultivator in Lingyue City. His parents had disappeared after leaving the Sky Vault with several cultivators; before their disappearance, they concealed the Purple Profound True Scripture and instructions for him with medicinal solution, intending for him to cultivate only if they could not return. His name was chosen after his father lost a wager to a purported fortune-teller. 568

He became involved with the Green Robe Old Man, an artifact spirit sealed in a damaged Ghost Nurturing Jar for over ten thousand years.
