Background / History

Xu Lanqing was born into the Sun Moon Empire’s imperial family as the Fourth Prince. At six, he attended the Imperial Palace’s unified Martial Soul awakening alone, despite most children being accompanied by family. He inherited black shoulder-length hair, fair skin, and a notably handsome appearance from his parents. 3

His awakening produced two abnormal Martial Souls. His Ultimate Ice, Ice Phoenix Martial Soul was followed by the Purple Imperial Heaven-Extinguishing Dragon, which was absorbed and mutated into a Golden Imperial Heaven-Extinguishing Dragon. The dragon’s violent aura endangered his spirit, forcing Electrolux to seal it temporarily within Xu Lanqing’s Sea of Consciousness. 3 4

After an assassination attempt by a Soul Douluo, Xu Lanqing became determined to gain power rather than remain protected inside the palace. He requested permission to obtain his first Soul Ring and proposed using himself as bait to expose those behind the attempt.
