Shi Lingbuling, meanwhile, wore a white lab coat.

Ye Ye patted Shi Lingbuling on the shoulder. "Have you made up your mind? If you do this, you'll have to give up your body."

Shi Lingbuling didn't answer directly. Instead, he spoke as they walked. "Big Brother, do you remember something you once said?"

Ye Ye asked, "What?"

"To slay gods with technology!"

Shi Lingbuling continued, "When I first learned about technology, you told me it could defeat the gods. That's always been my goal. I used the Mechagodzilla you gave me as the foundation and modified it, then rebuilt it with all kinds of strange metals from the Titan Divine Realm. That's what gave me this chance. Ye Ye understood. He didn't try to dissuade him again.

Shi Lingbuling lay down on a bed surrounded by metal instruments. Wires from all the devices were connected to him.

On the other side of the bed stood a metal humanoid skeleton. The most striking feature was the blue gemstone embedded in its chest.

The metal body had been forged from a special metal discovered in the Titan Divine Realm, using a unique process. It was incredibly hard, and the metal could rapidly repair itself. In a sense, it could achieve immortality. All it lacked now was a soul.

The transfer of his consciousness proceeded steadily. Suddenly, Shi Lingbuling began to convulse violently, and his heartbeat grew faster and faster. Then, in an instant, everything stopped. He showed no signs of life.

Countless people rushed to resuscitate him, but there was nothing they could do.

At that moment, the mechanical skeleton beside him began to change. The metal flowed like liquid, slowly taking human shape. It became identical to Shi Lingbuling, except for the blue gemstone core in his chest.

He couldn't stop laughing.

Ye Ye hurried over and took hold of his arm, then checked him from head to toe. Everything seemed fine.

Ye Ye said, "Let's test it out in the Titan Divine Realm!"

As he spoke, he opened a spatial passage, and they both entered.

In the Titan Divine Realm, they could fight to their hearts' content. First, they tested their hand-to-hand combat, and the two were evenly matched.

Then they tested their beams: Mechagodzilla's Proton Scream against Ye Ye's Atomic Breath. In the end, the Proton Scream was slightly weaker.

The Atomic Breath blasted Mechagodzilla's head off, but it soon regenerated.

Shi Lingbuling said, "Looks like you can't kill me anymore, Big Brother!"

Ye Ye asked, "Is that so?"

He entered his Burning Form. The intense heat melted Mechagodzilla faster than he could recover.

Soon, only the skeleton remained, but even it slowly began to melt.

Shi Lingbuling started pleading. "Big Brother, I'm sorry! I worked so hard to build this skeleton!"

Ye Ye stopped attacking, then teased him. "Looks like your machine isn't all that powerful after all! I might not be able to kill you, but I can leave you with nothing but your core. Without a body, you won't be able to move. That's no different from being dead."

"Hahaha!"

They burst out laughing.

Another five years passed. During that time, the Sea God Kingdom grew much stronger, with all kinds of advanced technology emerging. The same was true of Hua Kingdom, which had overcome many difficult challenges.

This made a certain country and several others feel threatened. They couldn't let their enemies keep growing stronger.

War was imminent. The Sea God Kingdom brought out a host of strange weapons, catching the enemy completely off guard. The appearance of the Mechagodzilla controlled by Shi Lingbuling, in particular, threw the enemy into a panic.

The war lasted a year. The certain country was on its last legs, and its leaders finally made up their minds.

Shi Lingbuling also developed a spaceship, and Blue Star officially entered the age of spacefaring civilization. He became the greatest scientist of the century.

Gu Yuena achieved her dream too, becoming an internet celebrity who often went viral.

The most shocking of all was Long Chen. He was still writing novels. Using Douluo Continent as his inspiration and Ye Ye's adopted son as his protagonist, he wrote a book called Douluo Continent and became a literary sensation.

(For the record, the author's alternate account—the one that will become the main account later—is called Long Chen.)

More than a decade passed. Mo'er grew from a mischievous little girl into a beautiful young woman. She became more mature, but she was still as lively and adorable as ever.

And on this day, Ye Ye got together with her. But they still called each other brother and sister...
