Ye Ye leaped into the air and plummeted rapidly. The wind swept over his body. He loved the feeling—it filled him with joy and exhilaration.
Then Godzilla's body crashed into the sea, sending out ripples in every direction. Waves surged ten meters into the air with a tremendous roar.
Ye Ye sank beneath the waves. Thanks to Godzilla's body, he quickly adapted to life underwater. In his previous life, Ye Ye couldn't swim at all, and he'd never imagined he'd be swimming in the sea.
Ye Ye opened his eyes, stunned by the sight before him. Colorful corals of all kinds grew in the clear water. Some even glowed with golden light in various colors. Schools of fish swam around them, and there were many—most were Ten-Year Soul Beasts.
Ye Ye swam farther out. Godzilla had gills, so he didn't have to worry about running out of oxygen (Legendary Godzilla did seem to have gills, but Planet Godzilla apparently didn't. Whatever—what do I care about the original?).
Ye Ye spotted many sunken ships ahead. Driven by curiosity, he planted his feet on the seabed and began walking through the water. Unbeknownst to him, a dark shape swam past behind him.
Ye Ye continued looking around. The more he saw, the stranger the place seemed. There were far too many sunken ships, and not one was intact. They all looked as though they'd been attacked. Ye Ye figured they must have encountered some kind of Soul Beast.
Suddenly, Ye Ye sensed something. Blue light shone from his dorsal plates, and he hurriedly turned around. A huge, long tentacle covered in suckers was reaching for him. Without thinking, Ye Ye blocked it with a claw, but another tentacle shot out. He blocked that one with his other claw, then pulled hard and dragged his opponent into view. It was a gigantic octopus, its body covered in blue rings. His instincts told him it was poisonous.
Ye Ye: "Xiao Ai, scan it!"
[Ding! Scan successful! 1. Blue-Ringed Octopus, 70,000 years of cultivation, highly intelligent and venomous]
Ye Ye: "Damn! So it's a Blue-Ringed Octopus, and it's that powerful, too. Soul Beasts in the ocean really are no joke. I haven't even reached the deep sea yet!" Ye Ye had seen Blue-Ringed Octopuses in his previous life and knew they were highly venomous. He decided to break free first, then figure out what to do.
But Ye Ye couldn't break loose. Its suckers had clamped tightly onto Godzilla's body. The Blue-Ringed Octopus sent two more tentacles toward him. Ye Ye knocked one aside with his tail, then dodged the other. Since it was a soft-bodied invertebrate, his tail swipe hadn't done it any serious damage.
Suddenly, the Blue-Ringed Octopus extended two fangs from its mouth and stabbed at Godzilla. Ye Ye couldn't dodge in time and was bitten. The fangs had only punctured his skin a little, but some venom had still entered Godzilla's body. Ye Ye went all out. Since he'd already been poisoned, he bit down on the Blue-Ringed Octopus, tearing off one of its tentacles. The Blue-Ringed Octopus wrapped even more tentacles around Godzilla, while Godzilla's dorsal plates continued charging, preparing to unleash an Electromagnetic Pulse.
The Blue-Ringed Octopus seemed to sense the danger and tried to escape, but Godzilla held it tight and wouldn't let it get away. Then he released the Electromagnetic Pulse. The Blue-Ringed Octopus was so close that it took the full force of the energy blast and was hurled away, its body mangled and bloody.
The Blue-Ringed Octopus tried to flee, but it was too late. Ye Ye charged in and used Crow Sits on Plane, slamming the octopus beneath him. The ground caved into a huge crater.
Godzilla tore at the Blue-Ringed Octopus with his claws and bit into its head. The octopus stopped moving. Ye Ye bit it a few more times to make sure, then stood up.
Ye Ye: "Xiao Ai, I've been poisoned. What do I do? You have to save me! What would you do for happiness without me?" Ye Ye began acting cute.
Xiao Ai: "...?"
[Ye Ye, don't be like that. And what does your happiness have to do with me?]
Ye Ye: "I don't care. You have to save me!"
[Don't worry. You can take an Antidote Pill.]
Ye Ye: "But I don't have one."
[Ding! You can open the System Shop to make a purchase. Would you like to spend 5,000 points to open the System Shop?]
Ye Ye: "Couldn't you maybe—"
[No.]
Ye Ye: "Fine."
Ye Ye gritted his teeth and said, "Yes."

Ye Ye sped onward and suddenly spotted a merchant fleet ahead. He didn't want to cause trouble, but a fleet had appeared in front of the merchant ships. A skull flag flew from their masts. Ye Ye realized they were pirates.
Ye Ye decided to help the merchant fleet, figuring that meeting like this had to be fate. He submerged and swam toward the pirate ships. When he reached the bottom of one, he rose out of the water. The pirates spotted Godzilla, but it was too late. Ye Ye's dorsal plates sliced across the bottom of the ship. He wasn't big enough to split it in half, but he carved a huge gash in its hull. Water poured through the hole, and the ship slowly sank.
The pirates leaped overboard. Some couldn't swim and shouted, "Help! I can't—gurgle—swim! Gurgle! Help—" Then they kicked the bucket.
Ye Ye moved on to another pirate ship. The pirates spotted Godzilla too and attacked him with Soul Power, but their blows didn't faze him at all. He kept charging toward the ship. Seeing that Godzilla still wasn't stopping, the pirates aboard lost all hope. Just before Godzilla crashed into them, they all wore terrified expressions and screamed, "Aaaah!"
Ye Ye attacked all the pirate ships like that. The pirates fell into the sea, where they were left to face attacks from Sea Soul Beasts or sink to the seabed once their Soul Power ran out. Even those who could fly eventually ran out of Soul Power and fell into the sea. Only a small number would survive.
Just as Ye Ye was about to continue on, the merchant ships suddenly attacked him. Ye Ye had always had a bad temper. He knew they'd mistaken him for a Soul Beast that was rampaging indiscriminately, but he was still furious. This triggered his Berserk skill.
Ye Ye changed direction and swam toward the merchant ships. There was only one thought in his mind now: Kill them all. Some time later, the sea was littered with shipwreckage. Ye Ye had no idea that everyone along the coast would one day know of his fearsome reputation.
Ye Ye continued toward the open sea as if nothing had happened.
Ye Ye: "Oh, right, Xiao Ai. Today's designated check-in."
[Ding! 3,216 meters away.]
"Unscrupulous Navigation at your service. The entire route is 3,216 meters, estimated travel time: 10 minutes. Down! Down! Down!"
The Unscrupulous Navigation system opened on its own without Ye Ye even asking. But what did "down" mean? Ye Ye looked at the seabed below him, guessed what was going on, and swam down.
As he swam, Ye Ye spotted a canyon. He figured the destination must be inside and swam into it. The light grew dimmer and dimmer, but that was no problem for Godzilla. The farther down he went, the greater the water pressure became. Godzilla was a deep-sea creature, after all, and his body was dense enough to withstand it.
Ye Ye continued downward. There were fewer and fewer creatures around.
"Destination nearby. Navigation complete."
Ye Ye looked around and spotted an altar directly beneath him. He landed on it.

Ye Ye was stunned. This was a God-Tier Treasure Land? It was his first time checking in at one.

Suddenly, the symbols on the altar lit up, and a vortex appeared. It sucked Ye Ye inside.

After a dizzying whirl, Ye Ye arrived in this small world. Everything was pitch-black, with not a trace of light. There was no day or night, no signs of life—only a dead, chaotic void.
Ye Ye walked farther in. The gravity here was incredibly weak, and he could jump very high with just one step.
As Ye Ye walked, he spotted a beam of light ahead. Overjoyed, he hurried toward it. He'd been walking for a long time and hadn't seen any light in ages. This place was terrifying.

Ye Ye: "Xiao Ai, you're finally back! Hurry up and merge with it. I want to get out."
