But King Kong didn't know why Godzilla had helped him. And even if he wanted to fight Godzilla to the death, he no longer had the strength to do so. Even without Godzilla, he was close to death. His injuries were too severe.
Ye Ye wanted to give him a chance, too. He roared, making his offer clear: "Submit to me, and I can save your life."
King Kong said, "I! The King Kong race will never submit. Kill me."
Ye Ye naturally wouldn't save a creature that posed a threat to him. But they weren't really enemies or allies. Their feud was simply rooted in their species and bloodlines—a struggle for power and the position of king.
Ye Ye respected this king, too, and ended his life with Atomic Breath.
King Kong closed his eyes and waited for death.
Ye Ye was preparing to cross Skull Island and make for Sea God Island, which lay beyond it.
He passed through the forest, encountering many new species along the way. Their cultivation system was completely different from that of the Douluo Continent. They were taller on average than the Soul Beasts there, which showed that they were all Titans—though their bloodlines were very weak.
The island had a remarkably rich diversity of life and a complete ecosystem, utterly unlike the isolated Douluo Continent.
Just then, Ye Ye heard a cry like that of a human infant. He knew there couldn't be any human babies here, so it had to be some kind of ape.
Ye Ye grew interested. The cry carried an incredibly powerful aura; no ordinary ape could have made it. He figured he should go take a look.
Ye Ye concealed his presence and shrank his Godzilla body. At over a hundred meters tall, he was far too conspicuous to observe anything in secret.
He could control how small he made himself, but not how big. He still couldn't make his body grow taller.
Ye Ye headed toward the source of the sound. It seemed close, but it was actually far away. Godzilla's strength had heightened Ye Ye's hearing, and the cry also carried the aura of a powerful bloodline. If its bloodline had been weaker, he might not have heard it at all.
Ye Ye quickened his pace and soon reached the source of the sound. He hid in a patch of grass. With his presence concealed and the creatures focused on each other, none of them noticed him.
There were three creatures: a wolf and two apes. The wolf and the adult ape faced off, poised for a fight, the air thick with tension. Both stood about ten meters tall, roughly Ye Ye's current height.
The wolf was entirely black, with a red glow shining beneath its skin. Its eyes gleamed with intelligence. The ape, on the other hand, was covered in blood and looked close to death. The wolf must have done this to him.
The cry that had caught Ye Ye's interest came from the other ape. It had just been born; its eyes were still closed, and it was covered in blood. Yet Ye Ye could already see the makings of a king in it.
Ye Ye said, "Xiao Ai, scan them."

The Titan Demon Wolf said, "Don't come any closer! No! You can't do this! It'll break!"
The author said, "Ahem, back to the story."
Ye Ye stopped in front of the Titan Demon Wolf and mercilessly drove a claw into its body. Then he lifted it up with one hand. The wolf tried to flee this dangerous place as fast as it could, but Ye Ye's claw had sunk too deep. There was no escaping.
The Titan Demon Wolf said, "I was only hunting prey. Please spare me!"
Ye Ye tore the Titan Demon Wolf apart, clean and quick, without hesitation. The wolf was dead in an instant.
Then Ye Ye headed toward the ape. It tensed up, but Ye Ye had no intention of killing it. Little Kong still needed someone—no, a monkey—to care for him, so Ye Ye left it alone and walked straight to the Kong Cub.
The Kong Cub sensed a beast approaching and began crying again. Kong's mother wanted to go save him, but she sensed no ill will from Godzilla. This might even be a stroke of good fortune.
Ye Ye asked the system how to fuse it: "Xiao Ai, how do I fuse them?"
[Beep! Do you wish to proceed with the fusion?]
Ye Ye said, "Of course."
[Beep! Fusion in progress. Fusion complete.]
After the Mysterious Serum had been fused into the Kong Cub, golden light shimmered through his fur. A surge of bloodline power radiated from him, filled with a kingly aura. The smaller Titans around them all bowed in submission.
Then the Kong Cub opened his eyes. They shone brightly as he stared at Godzilla. Though his bloodline marked Godzilla as his sworn enemy, the Kong Cub felt an inexplicable closeness to him, as if Godzilla were his own brother.
Once he had finished, Ye Ye left. He didn't know that the Kong Cub had already remembered him.
After Ye Ye was gone, Kong's mother came over and picked up the Kong Cub. She checked him for injuries, and when she saw that he was unharmed, she carried him away.
Ye Ye continued onward, passing through forests and across grasslands, then climbing over snow-capped mountains. After a day's journey, he finally reached the far end of Skull Island. There was another cliff. Ye Ye looked down and felt like attempting a perfect score in cliff diving.
Next, the author would narrate Godzilla's legendary cliff-diving performance.
The author said, "Here's today's champion in the men's hundred-meter cliff diving event, and the only contestant to make it to the finals. All the others were eliminated in previous semifinals and qualifying rounds."
The author said, "Look, Godzilla is warming up. Today, he's going to push past his limits with a ten-and-a-half-turn spin before entering the water."
The author said, "Look! Godzilla pushed off with both legs and leaped straight down. The cliff cracked apart! Godzilla completed a perfect one-and-a-half-turn spin and smacked right into the water without making a single splash. That's a monstrous wave!"
The author said, "All six judges unanimously gave him zero points. Congratulations to Godzilla on winning the championship!"
Although Godzilla had shrunk, his mass hadn't changed. Ye Ye's push had cracked the cliff. Just then, the top of the cliff broke off completely and fell into the water.
After Ye Ye entered the water, he returned to his original height and quickly swam toward Sea God Island.
He passed through that enormous storm again, then got lost.
Ye Ye was hopelessly directionless. If it hadn't been morning, and if he hadn't known the sun rose in the east, he wouldn't have been able to tell north from south or east from west. In the end, Ye Ye called on "Unscrupulous Navigation."
"You finally remembered me. I thought you'd forgotten all about me."
Ye Ye said, "I've just been busy lately. Hurry up and lead the way."
"No. Give me a reason."
Ye Ye said, "I'll get you a VIP subscription."

A while later, Ye Ye finally spotted Sea God Island. But he figured that if he went ashore looking like this, a fight would break out, so he decided to take out the Titan Battleship.
Ye Ye went to a nearby small island, turned human, took out the Titan Battleship, and boarded it.
The Titan Battleship had an artificial intelligence system, unlimited power, and unlimited resources. As long as it didn't sink, it was a perpetual-motion ship.
It also had weapons, which could fully protect it.
Ye Ye traveled toward Sea God Island aboard the Titan Battleship. He sat in a chair and sipped coffee.
Just then, a fleet appeared in front of the Titan Battleship. Its ships flew the flag of the Star Luo Empire, decorated with gold trim. They must have belonged to the royal family.
When the fleet spotted the large ship ahead, its captain said, "Can't you see we're the Star Luo Imperial Family's fleet? Move aside!"
Ye Ye disliked his tone, but he also figured it was better not to make trouble. So he decided to move out of the way.
But then one of the royals said, "That's a nice ship you've got. Give it to me, and I'll trade you one of my ships."
Ye Ye flew into a rage. "What are you barking about? You think you can have my ship? Take a look at that piece of junk you're sailing on. Even a dog wouldn't want it. I'm not moving today!"
The royal was furious. He turned to the captain and said, "Captain Ma, what are you standing around for? Sink his ship!"
Captain Ma said, "Yes, sir."
Then Captain Ma ordered, "Aim every cannon at that ship. Sink it!"
Every cannon in the fleet turned toward the Titan Battleship.
Ye Ye wanted to test the Titan Battleship's firepower, so he activated its shield. If they really did attack, the shield would block everything. Not even a level-99 Limit Douluo could break through it with a single strike.
Both sides instantly tensed, the air thick with the smell of gunpowder.
