Background and History
The Star Eater senses the aura of a King Ghidorah summoned by Ye Ye. When it learns that Godzilla defeated that Ghidorah, it takes the defeat as an insult to its bloodline and travels to the Douluo world for revenge. It passes through the Douluo God Realm without responding to the five Great God Kings, then heads directly for Ye Ye 44 45.
In the Extreme North, the Star Eater initially overwhelms Ye Ye, severing one of his arms and absorbing his power. Ye Ye adapts by fighting in human form and switching between Godzilla forms. Their clash injures both combatants and destabilizes the surrounding space 45 46 47.
Ye Ye ultimately strikes the Star Eater with the Fallen Ray, sending it into another universe. It survives the blast despite the destruction of the star where the attack explodes 47.
Appearance
The Star Eater first appears as an enormous golden, three-headed dragon 45.
- Its body extends several thousand meters, though its full size is unknown 45.
- It has long necks, wings and two tails 45.
- It can assume a smaller humanoid form clad in golden armor and carrying a sword 46.
Abilities and Skills
Gravity Beams
The Star Eater fires Gravity Beams from its three mouths. A combined volley overpowers Ye Ye's Burning Charged Particle Cannon and destroys one of his arms 45.
- Its exposed wing frames can also fire curving Gravity Beams 46.
- Its beams can be absorbed by Ye Ye's Godzilla Blade; energy stored this way helps awaken the blade and can be returned as lightning-charged attacks 46.
Energy Absorption
By biting Godzilla, the Star Eater injects energy that dispels Ye Ye's Burning Form, then begins absorbing his power 46.
Flight and Transformation
- Unaffected by gravity, it carries Godzilla to an altitude of ten thousand meters before dropping him 46.
- It switches to a sword-wielding humanoid form to fight Ye Ye at close range, then returns to its dragon form because the smaller body restricts some of its skills 46 47.
- It attempts to tear through space to escape Ye Ye's Universe Form, but Ye Ye strikes its wings first 47.
Durability
The Star Eater survives wounds, the loss of a head, and the Fallen Ray's inter-universal blast. It is described as immortal and indestructible, but these traits do not prevent Ye Ye from defeating and banishing it 46 47.
Relationships
- King Ghidorah — Its defeat by Godzilla prompts the Star Eater to seek revenge for its bloodline 44 45.
- Ye Ye / Godzilla — Its opponent. The Star Eater initially dismisses him, but comes to regard him as a true adversary during their fight 45 46 47.
- Five Great God Kings — They sense its approach and try to communicate, but it ignores them 45.
