In America's Area 13, less than half an hour remained on the bomb's countdown.
"Think! What else can we do to stop this damned bomb?!" The director slammed his hand on the desk and roared at the researcher before him.
"Well... we've done everything we can. If we could have a little more time, perhaps..."
"Give you more time? Who's supposed to give it to you? Those damned extraterrestrials?" the director cut him off angrily.
After the bomb was discovered, America's top scholars had all been urgently assembled to analyze the Gravity Bomb. But there had been too little time, and they still had no idea how to breach its shield.
"K, calm down. There must be another way. What's happening with the Ghost Captain?" Jay asked from beside him.
"We have people trying to reach him nonstop, but they still can't get through! Is that bastard deliberately messing with us?" the director said bitterly.
"I doubt it. We may not exactly be allies, but at least when it comes to extraterrestrials, we're on the same side. Watching humanity die wouldn't benefit him at all!"
For some reason, Jay kept feeling that something had happened while they were unconscious. Besides, he didn't believe the Ghost Captain would simply leave this matter alone.
No matter how he looked at it, abandoning humanity would be a strategic mistake. Thus, he was certain that unless the Ghost Captain truly had no way to help, he would intervene!
