"They actually surrendered?" Nie Yun stared at the three white spheres of light, his expression slightly odd.
The opposing captain had certainly reacted quickly. The instant he saw things turning against him, he backed down.
Nie Yun's original plan had been to destroy these three frigates, both to escort the Long-Lived One and to ensure that his "return to the cosmos" went smoothly.
He also intended to divide and conquer, eliminating a portion of the Twin Stars' forces first to ease the pressure in the battles to come.
This situation had gone a little beyond Nie Yun's expectations. He genuinely hadn't expected this captain to know so well when to yield.

He immediately sent the warship his terms of surrender.
"Shut down your shields immediately, cut your engines, lock down your weapons systems, and then... abandon ship, all hands!"

Ten minutes later, dozens of escape pods packed with Sea Race officers left the battlefield. Everyone watched their ship recede with mixed feelings, their faces blank with bewilderment.
Their own flagship had suddenly attacked them, they had suddenly surrendered, and then they had suddenly been ordered to abandon ship... events had unfolded too quickly, yet they still had
