The hole blasted through the arena acted like a vortex, drawing the air into a visible tornado.
Nie Yun held the Phantom aloft and looked down at the enormous hole, then raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Even the Positron Cannon didn't work..."
On the radar, the Red Dragon's high-energy signature had not disappeared!
Sure enough, a moment later, boom! The mouth of the hole exploded and collapsed. An enormous red blade of light shot skyward through the smoke, reaching the Phantom almost instantly.
Bang! The Shield, which had only just restarted, still failed to stop the strike and shattered on impact.
After losing most of its energy, the blade of light struck the Phantom's crossed arms, leaving only a shallow mark before swiftly dissipating.
Nie Yun lowered his arms and looked down.
Amid billowing dust, the Red Dragon slowly rose, its entire body trailing scorching fumes, before finally hovering opposite the Phantom.
Though it looked somewhat battered, its energy crystal armor remained completely intact!
Red Dragon glanced at his slightly dimmed crystal armor, still unable to hide the shock in his eyes. "It's clearly not a legendary Mecha, yet it can threaten the Red Dragon. Has the Machine Race's Mecha technology already advanced this far?"
Had an ordinary Mecha taken that last attack head-on, even its last scraps would probably have been vaporized.
