The central AI Core of a large base like this had an enormous server room and layer upon layer of firewalls. Conventional electronic or physical infiltration wasn't impossible, but either would take a great deal of time.
Even if the battle outside could hold out, Nie Yun simply didn't have enough mental power to complete such a massive undertaking from so far away.
Fortunately, the Golden Dagger Pirate Gang's second-in-command wasn't the only one present. Its third- and fourth-in-command had also been caught like rats in a trap. After their boss took his own life, the leaderless men wisely handed over their control privileges to save their own skins.

"Huh? What's going on? Why did the base's anti-aircraft fire stop?"
