The two of them had originally planned to dump the unlucky bastard inside and leave the area as quickly as possible, lest they get caught in the ammunition magazine's explosion.

"Uh, how about we just put a round into the ammunition magazine now? Then we'll have some peace and quiet," Lao San suggested.
"Are you an idiot? We're only ten meters or so from the magazine. Who knows how powerful the explosion will be? What if our armor can't withstand it?"
