It lay deep within the Wulf Empire, roughly 2,300 light-years from the Shattered Star Region, and owed its name to its extinguished star and perpetual darkness.
As a low-grade, E-class resource system, it was not only remote but also plagued by harsh conditions and countless celestial bodies moving in chaotic orbits. Large-scale development was out of the question, so visitors were rare, with only an occasional ship traveling to and from a large mine within the system.
Recently, however, this desolate, seldom-visited place had attracted quite a few visitors whose movements were shrouded in secrecy...
On the outskirts of a complex meteorite belt within the system, ripples suddenly spread through the void, and a small, pitch-black warship slowly materialized.
Then, several thousand kilometers away, another small vessel of a different design appeared, likewise emerging from concealment, followed by another.
Almost simultaneously, as if by prior arrangement, ships of every description appeared from all directions, one after another: warships, cargo ships, and cruise liners.
After these secretive warships appeared, the seemingly chaotic meteorite belt suddenly began to move. Driven by an invisible magnetic field, meteorites large and small parted like waves, opening a secret passage hundreds of kilometers wide that stretched beyond sight.
Officially, this star system belonged to an utterly unremarkable minor noble. No one knew that it was actually one of the Second Prince's secret bases.
As the passage opened, the ships began entering one by one in orderly succession, like pilgrims making their way to a shrine...
Inside one of the ships, Dark Shadow knelt prostrate on the floor, his eyes blazing with fervor.
So this is the so-called "Holy Land"? I have to admit, it does have the right atmosphere. What exactly are these people up to?
