"You're saying we suddenly came into a windfall?" Nie Yun looked at Golden Fang with mild surprise.
"We're pirates. Don't we come into windfalls every day? Is that really worth making a fuss over?"
"Ahem! Lord Pirate King, not that sort of windfall," Golden Fang said, clearing his throat.
"Here's what happened. Shortly after you unleashed your might and routed the enemy fleet, five billion suddenly appeared in the Alliance's account..."
Golden Fang was one of the veterans who had followed Nie Yun from the beginning, and his standing had naturally risen with the founding of the Pirate Alliance.
Moreover, he was one of the few pirates with formal training, so he had received a promotion and a raise, going from "procurement manager" to his current position as "chief financial officer."
