Hong, clad in black combat armor, flew swiftly onward, his expression calm and his gaze sharp.
"I nearly died back on the seventh level." Recalling the battle he had just fought to clear it, Hong still felt lingering fear.
On the Skybridge, every three levels formed a threshold: 1–3, 4–6, 7–9. Thus, every batch in history had produced several people who cleared the third level, but very few who passed the fourth.
"Starting from the fourth level, I've always chosen illusionists," Hong thought silently.
Everyone attempting the Skybridge could choose from three types of opponents: warriors, controllers, and illusionists.
In terms of difficulty, warriors were the easiest, controllers came next, and illusionists were the hardest.
That was because illusionists' attacks were exceedingly strange and unpredictable, making them difficult to defend against. Many geniuses possessed formidable secret techniques and combat ability but lacked sufficient willpower. They could clear the fourth level by choosing warriors, yet might not even pass the third if they chose illusionists.
But Hong was different.
His mental realm and willpower were his greatest strengths.

"As for the seventh level, although that opponent's illusion secret technique was several times more powerful than the one on the sixth level, I broke through it in an instant.
