Arc 12Warfronts and Tailed Beasts

Simu helped overturn Kirigakure’s Blood Mist regime, claimed the Three-Tails and Six-Tails, and pursued ways to replicate the Ten-Tails as the Fourth Shinobi World War spread. The Night Raid Squad captured a town with Stone forces, while Konoha settled into a standoff and the squad received orders to head for the Land of Wind’s capital.

  • Mei Terumi and Kirigakure’s elite shinobi fought Yagura Karatachi, while Simu used his Mangekyō Sharingan to free Utakata and control the Six-Tails, helping Mei’s forces purge the Blood Mist Faction.
  • Simu confronted Obito over the Eye of the Moon Plan, escaped their battle with Hidan, Yagura, and Utakata, and secured both the Three-Tails and Six-Tails before Mei Terumi began rebuilding Kirigakure under new leadership.
  • Simu revived Gaara and Kimimaro, recruited Haku into the Jashin Cult, and defeated Yagura and Utakata in a trial that left him with Little Isobu and Little Saiken.
  • Sunagakure and Konoha fought a costly campaign, while Simu brought Yagura to Akatsuki for sealing and began investigating whether Tailed Beast Chakra could help him create a new Ten-Tails.
  • Simu deciphered the Naka Shrine tablet with two Mangekyō Sharingan and tested Hashirama Cells, while Kakashi led a mission into the Land of Lightning and Simu rescued him after Yugito Nii and the Two-Tails defeated him.
  • Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo abducted Yugito Nii, then attacked Killer B at Cloud Lightning Gorge, but withdrew after their battle drew Kumogakure’s reinforcements and the Fourth Raikage.
  • The Night Raid Squad joined Stone Shinobi in taking a Konoha-held town, raising the squad’s bounty as Tsunade’s forces became locked in a half-year standoff with Iwagakure.
  • After repeatedly defeating Konoha scout teams, the Night Raid Squad received orders from the Jashin Cult to travel to the Land of Wind’s capital, and Gaara and Kimimaro informed Kitsuchi they were leaving.
Chapters 277–301 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 277Yagura Karatachi

Mei Terumi, Hozuki Mangetsu, and Kisame Hoshigaki fought across the battlefield until Yagura Karatachi appeared and attacked Utakata. Mei Terumi, Hozuki Mangetsu, and Ao moved to protect the Six-Tails, and Mangetsu blasted Yagura away with Hiramekarei.

  • Mei Terumi paralyzed Fuguki Suikazan with Lightning Release and struck him with corrosive Lava Release, but he escaped with a badly burned arm.
  • Kisame Hoshigaki trapped Hozuki Mangetsu in a water sphere, but Mangetsu used Nuibari to escape and Exploding Blade Shibuki to destroy Kisame’s shark attack.
  • Yagura Karatachi arrived and was immediately attacked by Utakata’s explosive bubbles, but he transformed partially and struck Utakata into the lake.
  • Mei Terumi ordered the others to protect Utakata, and she, Hozuki Mangetsu, and Ao confronted Yagura.
  • Yagura dodged Mei Terumi’s acid and rushed her, but Hozuki Mangetsu released Hiramekarei’s stored Chakra and blasted him away.

Ch. 278The Mizukage Betrayed by All

Hozuki Mangetsu struck Yagura Karatachi, but Yagura transformed into the Three-Tails and overwhelmed the resistance. As the battle intensified, Simu reached Utakata and confronted the Six-Tails, Saiken, in Utakata’s spiritual world.

  • Hozuki Mangetsu blasted Yagura Karatachi into the lake, but Yagura transformed into the Three-Tails and attacked him and Mei Terumi.
  • Mei Terumi fought Yagura while Ao and Hozuki Mangetsu searched for Utakata, and she was nearly killed before Fuguki Suikazan intervened.
  • Ringo Ameyuri and Zabuza joined Mei Terumi against Yagura, while Obito realized that several of Kirigakure’s elite shinobi had betrayed him.
  • Yagura prepared a Tailed Beast Bomb as Ao and Hozuki Mangetsu found Utakata, where Simu had already begun speaking with Saiken.
  • After Saiken rejected his offer to become a summoned beast and attacked him, Simu activated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Ch. 279Why?

Simu freed the Six-Tails and used it to restrain Yagura, allowing Kirigakure's forces to turn against the Blood Mist Faction. Obito confronted Simu and asked him to stop destabilizing the village, but Simu answered with a question.

  • Simu used his Mangekyō Sharingan to control the Six-Tails and broke the seal on Utakata, while Mei Terumi and the others barely survived Yagura's Tailed Beast Bomb after the Six-Tails struck it into the sky.
  • The Six-Tails fought Yagura in his Three-Tails form, and Mei Terumi rallied Kirigakure's forces to eliminate the Blood Mist Faction while Yagura was occupied.
  • Kisame Hoshigaki agreed to join Mei Terumi's side, and Kirigakure's forces began purging the Blood Mist Faction throughout the village.
  • Obito blamed Simu for ruining his plans, then went with Black and White Zetsu to confront him while Simu and Hidan watched the Tailed Beasts fight.
  • Obito admitted that he had controlled Yagura and asked Simu to stop overturning Kirigakure, but Simu replied, "Why?"

Ch. 280Game of Wits

Simu rejected Obito’s Eye of the Moon Plan and fought him after Obito tried to silence him. Their battle ended in a tense standoff, while Hidan challenged Black and White Zetsu to fight.

  • Obito revealed the Eye of the Moon Plan and explained how gathering the nine Tailed Beasts would revive the Ten-Tails and enable Infinite Tsukuyomi.
  • Simu questioned whether Obito could be trusted to control the illusion and proposed controlling the Ten-Tails himself, causing Obito to attack.
  • Simu summoned Susanoo to withstand Obito’s fire dragons, and Black Zetsu recognized Simu as the one who had stolen Fugaku’s Sharingan.
  • Obito and Simu traded attacks, but Obito’s intangibility let him evade Simu while Simu’s electrical currents prevented Obito from safely attacking.
  • Simu and Obito settled into a psychological standoff, and Hidan challenged Black and White Zetsu to a match.

Ch. 281Obito the Defeated Dog

Simu defeated Obito’s attempt to escape with the Three-Tails and Six-Tails, survived their colliding Tailed Beast Bombs with Time Ring, and left with both Jinchuriki and Hidan. In Kirigakure, Mei Terumi reported the destruction and casualties as the purge of the Blood Mist Faction concluded.

  • Hidan attacked Black and White Zetsu, who trapped him in spores until Simu cut off Kara’s Tailed Beast Chakra supply.
  • Obito and Simu launched opposing Tailed Beast Bombs, devastating the battlefield and damaging Kirigakure, but Simu returned unharmed using Fugaku Uchiha’s Time Ring.
  • Obito tried to leave with Yagura Karatachi, but Simu’s Lightning Release: Heavenly Radiance forced him to retreat into his alternate dimension.
  • Simu recovered Hidan from beneath the ruins, then departed with Hidan, Yagura Karatachi, and Utakata after securing the Three-Tails and Six-Tails.
  • Mei Terumi reported that Kirigakure had purged 324 core Blood Mist Faction members, lost 867 ninja, suffered damage to about one-quarter of its buildings, and lost both Tailed Beasts.

Ch. 282Zabuza's Proposal

Mei Terumi and Elder Genji settled how Kirigakure would deal with former Blood Mist members and began rebuilding the village. At a leadership meeting, Zabuza opposed reopening the Land of Water during the ongoing wars and proposed taking control of the Daimyo to secure Kirigakure’s finances.

  • Mei Terumi proposed making Zabuza a former spy who would apologize to his victims, recruiting Kisame Hoshigaki into the ANBU, and executing Fuguki Suikazan; Elder Genji approved her plan.
  • Fuguki Suikazan was killed by villagers, Zabuza was publicly hailed as a hero and sought forgiveness from the families he had harmed, and Kisame joined the ANBU as the Blood Mist Faction was purged.
  • Elder Genji temporarily assumed the Mizukage’s duties and formed a new leadership team that included Mei Terumi, Ao, Hozuki Mangetsu, Zabuza, Ringo Ameyuri, and Kisame.
  • Mei Terumi proposed ending the Land of Water’s isolation and restoring trade, but Zabuza warned that Konoha and other nations were embroiled in war.
  • Zabuza presented evidence that the previous Mizukage had diverted Kirigakure’s benefits to the Daimyo and proposed using the Land of Water’s isolation to bring the Daimyo under Kirigakure’s control.

Ch. 283Kirigakure's Decision and the God Child's Clash

Zabuza persuaded Kirigakure’s leaders to prepare to seize control of the Daimyo’s finances, pending confirmation that Sand Village would also move against its Daimyo. At an underground stronghold, Kimimaro and Gaara fought to a seemingly mutual kill, while Sasuke watched and studied Gaara’s techniques.

  • Zabuza argued that Kirigakure should control the Daimyo and revealed intelligence from Sasori of the Red Sands; Ao confirmed Sasori’s identity, and Mei Terumi agreed to prepare while investigating Sand Village’s plans.
  • Genji sent Kisame Hoshigaki to protect the Daimyo, Ao’s unit to watch the sea, and Hozuki Mangetsu’s forces to enforce martial law and block information from leaving the Land of Water.
  • Kimimaro attacked Gaara with his bone techniques, but Gaara blasted him into a wall with an Iron Sand arrow as Sasuke watched and assessed how he might fight Gaara.
  • Kimimaro survived the arrow and entered a bloodthirsty state, then broke through Gaara’s sand defenses and pierced a Sand Clone before Gaara trapped him in a Sand Burial.
  • Gaara crushed Kimimaro inside the sand sphere, but Kimimaro’s final bone spike pierced Gaara’s head from beneath his chin.

Ch. 284Have a Bowl of Noodles

Simu transferred Gaara and Kimimaro into new bodies, freeing Kimimaro from the physical toll of his Kekkei Genkai and naming him the Jashin Cult’s third God Child. In the Land of Water, Sasuke rescued Haku from a hunter, and Simu welcomed the boy to the church with a bowl of noodles.

  • Simu placed Gaara and Kimimaro’s souls into newly created bodies, and Kimimaro quickly adapted to his healthier body.
  • Kimimaro pledged loyalty to Simu, who named him the Jashin Cult’s third God Child.
  • Simu sent Sasuke, Gaara, and Kimimaro to distribute food at a church in the Land of Water while they waited for someone destined to arrive.
  • Sasuke rescued Haku from Miyata, learned that the hunter had been sent to kill him for awakening Ice Release, and killed Miyata after Haku agreed.
  • Kimimaro brought Haku to the church, where Simu welcomed him and offered him a bowl of noodles.

Ch. 285Sasori's Art

Haku joined the Jashin Cult and began training with Sasuke, Gaara, and Kimimaro, while Simu took Yagura Karatachi and Utakata to a remote island. Sasori unleashed his newly upgraded puppet army against the two Jinchuriki, leaving them under relentless elemental attacks.

  • Haku accepted Simu’s offer to join the Jashin Cult and trained alongside Sasuke, Gaara, and Kimimaro.
  • Gaara told Haku that he would eventually take part in the group’s deadly combat trials once Simu mastered Ice Release.
  • Simu brought Yagura Karatachi and Utakata to an isolated island and released them from his Genjutsu, but they refused to join the Jashin Cult.
  • Sasori revealed that his upgraded body could control more than two hundred puppets at once and began attacking the two Jinchuriki.
  • Yagura Karatachi and Utakata destroyed only a small portion of the puppet force as Sasori’s puppets countered their techniques with coordinated attacks.
  • Sasori’s puppets redirected Yagura Karatachi’s water toward him and sent a lightning dragon racing along it.

Ch. 286Simu's Test

Simu tested his enhanced Wood Release against Yagura Karatachi and the rampaging Six-Tails, stopping the Three-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb and forcing Sasori to withdraw. He began fighting both Tailed Beasts at once, intending to capture them and split their power, as the Three-Tails launched a rolling attack.

  • Yagura Karatachi transformed and used Coral Palm to block Simu's Lightning Dragon while Utakata was forced into the Six-Tails' transformation.
  • Utakata lost control and fully released the Six-Tails, whose acid attacks destroyed many of Sasori's puppets before it stalled the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand pyramid.
  • Yagura Karatachi entered the Three-Tails' complete form and began charging a Tailed Beast Bomb, but Simu bound it with a Wood Dragon and shattered the bomb with a Wood Human's punch.
  • The Three-Tails urged Yagura Karatachi to join the Jashin Cult, but he refused; Simu stopped Sasori from intercepting the Six-Tails and took over the test.
  • Simu blocked the Six-Tails' acid with Deep Forest Emergence and used his Chakra supply to keep the trees growing as they fought.
  • Yagura Karatachi and the Three-Tails joined the battle, and the Three-Tails curled into its shell and rolled toward Simu with its Shadow Dance attack.

Ch. 287Six Paths Evil God?

Simu defeated the Three-Tails and Six-Tails with Wood Release, split the Six-Tails’ Chakra to create Little Saiken, and created Little Isobu before returning to the mainland. The chapter leaves Simu heading back to the Land of Rain as Rasa received reports on Sunagakure’s growing military capabilities.

  • Simu fought the Three-Tails and Six-Tails for three days and three nights, exhausted them, and defeated Yagura Karatachi with Wood Release pollen.
  • Simu used the Yin-Yang Sealing Technique to return seventy percent of the Six-Tails’ Chakra to Utakata and create Little Saiken from the rest, then created Little Isobu and formed blood contracts with both.
  • Simu told Hidan and Sasori that they would return to the Land of Rain and hand Yagura Karatachi and Utakata over to Pain.
  • Simu, Hidan, and Sasori rode the Flying Ray back to the mainland, where they learned that the Land of Lightning had advanced into the Land of Fire and the Land of Earth was preparing to invade.
  • Kawanishi reported to Rasa that Sunagakure had formed a five-hundred-strong Flying Ray force, improved its Puppet Insect Legion, and continued developing the Insect Jade techniques.

Ch. 288The Advancing Sand Shinobi

Rasa decided that eliminating the Land of Wind’s nobles could give him the power and resources to build a vast army, while Sunagakure launched a renewed attack on Konoha. Konoha’s troops were devastated by Sand Shinobi aerial attacks until Jiraiya and Gamabunta countered Rasa’s Gold Dust defenses and rallied the defenders.

  • Rasa promised to fund Kawanishi’s Insect Jade research, but Ebizo warned that Sunagakure faced severe food and funding shortages because the Daimyo and nobles withheld support.
  • After bathing in the Blood Pool, Rasa resolved to eliminate the nobles and began devising a plan to target Daimyo’s Palace without openly attacking it.
  • One month later, four thousand Sunagakure shinobi attacked Konoha, and Jiraiya led three thousand reinforcements to meet them.
  • Jiraiya split Konoha’s forces into three battalions, but Flying Rays ambushed the strongest battalion with Kunai and explosive tags, inflicting heavy casualties.
  • Rasa led Sunagakure’s main force toward the Konoha camp behind a Gold Dust shield, while Jiraiya summoned Gamabunta and used the Toad Oil Flame Bullet to break through it.
  • Jiraiya and Gamabunta burned many Sand Shinobi, and their counterattack restored Konoha’s morale as its troops charged the enemy.

Ch. 289Sealing Begins

Jiraiya’s forces suffered heavy losses against Rasa and the Sand Shinobi, forcing Jiraiya to prepare a retreat. Meanwhile, Simu arrived at Akatsuki headquarters with two captured Kirigakure Tailed Beasts, and Pain began sealing Yagura Karatachi.

  • Jiraiya used Sage Art: Goemon and Super Great Ball Rasengan to melt Rasa’s Gold Dust attack and blast the molten gold toward the Sand Shinobi, who retreated after taking casualties.
  • Nara Shikashiba reported 712 Konoha combat losses and explained that the Sand Shinobi’s secret techniques and biological puppets made them difficult to fight.
  • Jiraiya’s troops used bunkers to withstand the Sand Shinobi’s flying forces, but later battles and another 789 combat losses led Jiraiya to request a retreat.
  • Simu arrived at Akatsuki headquarters with Hidan and Sasori, bringing two captured Kirigakure Tailed Beasts to the meeting.
  • Pain activated Phantom Dragons Nine Consuming Seals, and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path swallowed Yagura Karatachi as the sealing began.

Ch. 290Konoha's Predicament and the Night Raid Squad

Shimura Danzō weighed Konoha’s worsening war situation and dwindling funding while Gaara’s squad raided a Konoha outpost. After completing the mission, Sasuke and Kimimaro arrived at a Bounty Exchange, where bounty hunters recognized them as the Night Raid Squad.

  • Shimura Danzō suspected the Daimyo was deliberately reducing Konoha’s funding and assessed the fronts against the Land of Lightning, the Land of Rivers, and Iwagakure.
  • Gaara led Haku, Sasuke, and Kimimaro through a nighttime assault that killed three Konoha Chunin at a forest outpost.
  • Haku scanned the battlefield to confirm no one had escaped, and the squad searched the outpost for supplies and intelligence before withdrawing.
  • Gaara sent Haku and himself to keep watch while Sasuke and Kimimaro entered an underground Bounty Exchange to register the completed mission.
  • Bounty hunters recognized Sasuke and Kimimaro as the Night Raid Squad, and Kimimaro presented the mission proof at the counter.

Ch. 291Mysterious Stone Tablet

Sasuke's Night Raid Squad defeated bounty hunters targeting them, while Simu studied the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and pursued a plan to create a Ten-Tails. Simu then found an ancient stone tablet hidden beneath Naka Shrine and suspected its writing was meant for the Uchiha Clan.

  • Sasuke's team discovered a twenty-million-ryo bounty on the Night Raid Squad and killed the six hunters who ambushed them.
  • Pain ordered Akatsuki to pursue the remaining Tailed Beasts during the Fourth Shinobi World War, and White Zetsu shared leads on Roshi and the Two-Tails Jinchuriki.
  • Simu experimented with Demonic Statue of the Outer Path tissue and Tailed Beast Chakra, confirming that their Chakra could greatly increase the tissue's vitality.
  • Simu decided to capture the remaining Tailed Beasts or collect their Chakra to test whether he could create a new Ten-Tails.
  • Simu followed intelligence from his insects to the hidden basement beneath Naka Shrine, where he found an ancient stone tablet he could not read.

Ch. 292Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

Simu deciphered the Uchiha tablet’s secrets about the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and the Creation of All Things, then began experiments combining Uchiha and Senju powers. As Konoha prepared to end its war with Kumogakure, Kakashi led a small team across the border to cut the enemy’s supply lines.

  • Simu used Mangekyō Eye Power to reveal the Sharingan’s evolution and learn that a sibling’s eyes could produce the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
  • With two Mangekyō Sharingan, Simu deciphered the tablet’s message about opposite powers and suspected it referred to the Uchiha and Senju clans.
  • Simu tested Hashirama Cells with Fugaku’s Mangekyō Sharingan, found signs of conflict and rejection, and shifted his focus to replicating the Ten-Tails.
  • Tsunade assigned Kakashi a ten-person mission to infiltrate the Land of Lightning and sever Kumogakure’s supply lines, while recalling Kakashi’s father, Sakumo.
  • After Tsunade launched an assault on Kumogakure’s camp, Kakashi led nine mobile Jonin across the border into the Land of Fields.

Ch. 293Kakashi's Surprise Attack

Kakashi led a Konoha squad into Giant Wood Town to destroy Kumogakure’s supply warehouses, using a troop handover and coordinated attacks to create an opening. Yugito Nii arrived secretly to command the town’s defense, and as the raid descended into chaos, Kakashi’s warehouse target caught fire.

  • Yamanaka Tamaru reported that the route into the Land of Lightning was clear, and Kakashi told the squad their target was Giant Wood Town’s supply warehouses.
  • Kakashi’s team infiltrated Giant Wood Town with help from a Root-trained merchant spy, and Tamaru discovered sensory barriers and sentries guarding the warehouses.
  • Kakashi planned a feint by three Jonin while the disguised squad caused chaos inside town and he infiltrated the warehouses; Yugito Nii arrived to take over the defense in secret.
  • Kakashi received a warehouse supply-location note from a Konoha spy and observed that the incoming Cloud Shinobi unit was mostly inexperienced.
  • The three Konoha Jonin attacked the town while Kakashi’s disguised squad struck from within, and the resulting confusion let the squad attempt a breakout.
  • Yugito killed pursuing Konoha Jonin and a Hyuga ninja, while Kakashi’s warehouse target suddenly burst into flames.

Ch. 294Two-Tails

Kakashi destroyed part of the Cloud Shinobi supply warehouse but was caught by Yugito Nii, who transformed into the Two-Tails and nearly killed him. Simu arrived and subdued the Two-Tails with Wood Release, leaving Yugito Nii collapsed at his feet.

  • Kakashi burned half the Cloud Shinobi warehouse, killed the guards who confronted him, and fled toward Giant Wood Town's outskirts.
  • Yugito Nii tracked Kakashi to the town wall and attacked him, forcing him to fight while she used the Two-Tails' flames to destroy his hiding places.
  • Kakashi pierced Yugito Nii's chest with Lightning Cutter, but the Two-Tails took over her body and healed her wound.
  • The Two-Tails overwhelmed Kakashi, who was badly injured and on the verge of death when Simu arrived in ANBU disguise.
  • Simu used Wood Release to bind the Two-Tails, drain its Chakra, and defeat Yugito Nii in less than ten minutes.

Ch. 295The Late-Arriving Akatsuki

Simu defeated Yugito and extracted half of the Two-Tails' Chakra, prompting the Cloud forces to retreat from Konoha territory. As Konoha mourned Kakashi as missing, Itachi and Biwa Juzo reached Giant Wood Town seeking the Jinchuriki, and White Zetsu revealed that he had located her.

  • Simu trapped the Cloud Shinobi in a town-wide darkness Genjutsu, extracted half of the Two-Tails' Chakra, resealed the rest in Yugito, and left with Kakashi.
  • The Cloud Shinobi rescued the unconscious Yugito, and the Fourth Raikage ordered a retreat and launched a search for Konoha's Wood Release user.
  • Tsunade learned that Giant Wood Town's supply depot had been destroyed and that Kakashi and several others were missing, while Yugao feared Kakashi had died.
  • Itachi and Biwa Juzo arrived at the ruined Giant Wood Town, learned that Yugito had been badly injured, and set out to find her.
  • White Zetsu emerged and told Itachi that he had already located the Two-Tails.

Ch. 296Successful Capture of the Two-Tails

Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo raided Maple City's hospital and captured the weakened Two-Tails Jinchuriki, Yugito Nii. They escaped with her as Kumogakure pursued them, leaving Ai furious that his village had been attacked while he fought Konoha.

  • White Zetsu told Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo that a powerful Wood Release ninja had defeated the Two-Tails near Giant Wood Town.
  • Itachi and Biwa learned that Yugito Nii was recovering in Maple City's ninja hospital and went there to capture her.
  • Biwa attacked Yugito in the hospital, and she released the Two-Tails after he slaughtered wounded patients in the mist.
  • Itachi used Susanoo to fight the Two-Tails and Amaterasu to stop its Tailed Beast Bomb, then severed Yugito's arm to detach the flames.
  • Itachi and Biwa escaped with Yugito as Kumogakure pursued them, and Ai reacted furiously to the news of the raid.

Ch. 297The Rougher the Seas, the Pricier the Fish

After the Two-Tails was abducted, Kumogakure pulled back its forces, while Simu secretly replaced Kakashi’s Sharingan. Itachi and Biwa Juzo then infiltrated Kumogakure to target the Eight-Tails, arriving at Cloud Lightning Gorge as Killer B taught Samui, Omoi, and a red-haired girl.

  • Ai learned that Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo had taken Yugito Nii and ordered Kumogakure to prioritize her recovery and suspend its offensive against Konoha.
  • Kakashi woke in the forest, was found by Konoha ninja, and returned to camp, where Tsunade examined and treated him.
  • Simu revealed that he had replaced Kakashi’s Sharingan with an ordinary Three Tomoe Sharingan while Kakashi was unconscious.
  • Tsunade and Danzo questioned where the newly reported Konoha Wood Release ninja had come from as Kumogakure’s withdrawal gave Konoha a respite.
  • Itachi and Biwa Juzo left White Zetsu to divert their pursuers and headed for Kumogakure to capture Killer B and the Eight-Tails.
  • Itachi and Biwa Juzo reached Cloud Lightning Gorge, where Killer B was teaching Samui, Omoi, and a red-haired girl.

Ch. 298Nickname: Killer Bee

Killer B taught Samui, Omoi, and Karui how Lightning Release could make weapons fast and durable, then defended them from Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo. After a fierce battle, Killer B broke Juzo’s Kubikiribōchō and fought Itachi, who trapped him briefly with sound-based Genjutsu before the Eight-Tails freed him.

  • Killer B demonstrated Lightning Release by throwing an ordinary pencil through a boulder without damaging it, then explained how Chakra strengthened weapons for speed and durability.
  • Killer B sensed intruders and shielded his students as Itachi Uchiha and Biwa Juzo emerged from the mist.
  • Killer B used his seven-blade fighting style to overwhelm Biwa Juzo and snap the Kubikiribōchō, then attacked him again.
  • Itachi Uchiha intervened with Fire Release and shuriken attacks, but Killer B’s Tailed Beast Chakra cloak blocked the wires and he turned to fight Itachi.
  • Killer B and Itachi clashed with blades and shuriken, until Itachi used sound-based Genjutsu and the Eight-Tails disrupted Killer B’s Chakra to free him.

Ch. 299Tailed Beast Bomb, Fire!

Itachi Uchiha fought Killer B and the Eight-Tails in Cloud Lightning Gorge, but Killer B’s Tailed Beast Bomb nearly killed him and Biwa Juzo. Itachi survived by awakening a fully formed Susanoo with a shield, leaving the battle unresolved as Killer B and the Eight-Tails prepared to watch for Amaterasu.

  • Itachi Uchiha used Susanoo against Killer B, who transformed into the Eight-Tails and overpowered the skeletal giant.
  • Itachi Uchiha struck the Eight-Tails with Amaterasu, but the apparent victory was revealed to be a clone as Killer B launched a Tailed Beast Bomb.
  • Biwa Juzo shielded Itachi Uchiha from the blast with his broken Kubikiribōchō, and the explosion left him barely alive.
  • Killer B fired a second Tailed Beast Bomb, but Itachi Uchiha formed a fully armored Susanoo and deflected it with a circular shield.
  • Killer B and the Eight-Tails recognized that Itachi Uchiha had survived and warned each other to watch out for his black flames.

Ch. 300The Night Raid Squad's Fearsome Reputation

Killer B repelled Itachi Uchiha’s attempt to capture the Eight-Tails, prompting Kumogakure to withdraw from the Land of Fire and giving Konoha a chance to regroup. Konoha’s respite ended when Iwagakure attacked the Land of Grass, where the feared Night Raid Squad struck the village defenses.

  • Killer B used Gyuki’s ink to block Itachi’s Amaterasu, but Itachi’s Yata Mirror and Susanoo kept him from breaking through before White Zetsu warned that Kumogakure’s reinforcements and the Fourth Raikage were approaching.
  • Itachi, White Zetsu, and Biwa Juzo withdrew, and Kumogakure abandoned its operations against the Land of Fire to hunt the red-cloud-cloaked organization.
  • Shimura Danzō redeployed Konoha’s forces, sending Tsunade to join Jiraiya against Sunagakure before transferring her to support Torifu Akimichi against Iwagakure’s assault.
  • Kitsuchi’s Stone Shinobi attacked Konoha’s town with coordinated Earth Release, while the Night Raid Squad set fire to the forest and assaulted the walls with sand and ice techniques.
  • Kimimaro charged across the wall with bone spikes as Haku trapped Konoha shinobi in an Ice Mist Prison.

Ch. 301Chapter 301

The Night Raid Squad helped the Stone Shinobi capture another Konoha town, then spent half a year disrupting Konoha’s attempts to cut supply lines. After receiving a secret mission from the Jashin Cult, Gaara and Kimimaro informed Kitsuchi that the squad was leaving for the Land of Wind.

  • Haku, Gaara, Kimimaro, and Sasuke overwhelmed Konoha’s defenders, killing two jonin before Stone Shinobi reinforcements breached the wall and captured the town.
  • The Night Raid Squad’s bounty rose to forty million ryo, and underworld observers began speculating about the masked members’ identities.
  • The Stone Shinobi fortified their supply lines while Konoha’s forces, led by Tsunade, settled into a half-year standoff with them.
  • The Night Raid Squad repeatedly defeated Konoha scout teams trying to cross the Stone Shinobi defenses, frustrating Tsunade.
  • The Jashin Cult ordered the Night Raid Squad to proceed to the capital of the Land of Wind, and Gaara and Kimimaro told Kitsuchi they were leaving.
Arc 12 of 14
