The unexpected surprise set Ezio's plans back a little.

He spent two days in the dark little house. The three test subjects were remarkably hardy. He didn't know whether their physical constitutions had been strengthened by magic or whether there was some other reason, but Ezio was very pleased with how they had performed.

One of them had managed to break free of the Imperius Curse during the process, but it hadn't caused any problems. The research had gone smoothly.

Neil affectionately rubbed his little head against Ezio's face. For the past two days, he'd had to find food in central London. After getting used to eating the magical creatures of the Forbidden Forest, he'd found ordinary meat rather unappealing.

"All right, all right. I'll go to Diagon Alley and get you something."

Ezio stroked Neil's little head, his eyes filled with affection. After Giovanni was gone, Neil was the only family he had left.

With a sharp pop, Ezio vanished from the alley. The next second, he appeared at the bustling entrance to Diagon Alley. The public fireplaces used for Floo Powder travel were here, as were the arrival points for wizards using Apparition. He pulled up his hood, and no one seemed to notice anything amiss.

After wandering around Diagon Alley and buying some supplies and materials, Ezio sent a letter from the Owl Post. He planned to visit Beauxbatons and Durmstrang first, then head to Moon Mountain in Africa to meet the Transfiguration master from Uagadou.

He'd also come to Diagon Alley to buy some gifts. It wouldn't be very polite to show up empty-handed.
