Beauxbatons

A huge carriage pulled by winged horses suddenly appeared at the end of the star-strewn road. Ezio looked up ahead, as did the tourists visiting from elsewhere. They marveled at the rich heritage of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. After all, it was hard to find such a magnificent, luxurious carriage anywhere else.

The carriage pulled by the winged horses was almost as large as a small villa, like a miniature palace. It stood about twelve meters tall and stretched more than thirty meters long. Its body was coated in pale blue enamel, with golden relief patterns inlaid across the surface, mostly olive branches and birds. The Beauxbatons crest glowed softly, standing out at a glance.

Twelve silver-maned Abraxans drew the enormous carriage. Their manes flowed like quicksilver, and their wings spanned eight meters. They were even more dazzling and beautiful than Hippogriffs. Their harnesses were woven from golden thread, and golden Beauxbatons wind chimes hung at their sides, ringing softly as they approached.

The huge carriage landed lightly. When its doors opened, a professor stepped out first, followed by the students, who filed out in an orderly fashion. They didn't all rush forward in a noisy throng. Beauxbatons had strict rules, and the students had to follow them. It might not offer the same "freedom" as Hogwarts, but its discipline made a good impression.

Beauxbatons was coeducational, though it had slightly more girls than boys, with a ratio of roughly four to six. A small number of students showed clear signs of being Half-bloods. Ezio suspected Beauxbatons had certain standards for looks when selecting its students. They weren't all handsome or beautiful, but he hadn't seen a single odd-looking or ugly person.

Someone like Marcus, who looked more like a Troll than a person, would definitely have been refused admission.
