"Where's Instructor Zephyr?"

The office was empty, so Noah had no choice but to leave and find a familiar instructor near the training grounds to ask.

"He took leave to return home and pay his respects."

The instructor gave a bitter smile as he said this. "These past couple of days are the death anniversary of Mr. Zephyr's family..."

Noah froze slightly at that. So he had happened to come at such an unfortunate time?

"What a pity."

It was rare for him to return to Marine Headquarters, yet he had failed to see him. Noah felt somewhat regretful, but when he thought of Zephyr possibly sitting alone before his family's graves at this very moment, he could not help but sigh inwardly.

The deaths of his family had probably been a nightmare that Zephyr could never escape for the rest of his life.

Back then, Zephyr had achieved countless glorious feats in his prime, capturing and crushing innumerable pirates. Yet he had never dealt a killing blow, earning him the title of the "Non-Killing" Admiral.

But twelve years ago, when Zephyr was forty-two, his entire family—including his wife and young child—had been murdered by pirates.

By the time Zephyr arrived, he could only hold the bodies of his wife and child and cry out toward the heavens.

From that day onward.

There was no longer an admiral known as "Non-Killing." In his place stood an instructor who hated pirates beyond measure.
