The corner of his mouth suddenly curled up. He raised his head and drained the wine in his cup.

"Can you get me some paper and a pen?"

As he set down his cup, Shiryu looked at Magellan. "Use your channels to send a letter to Marine Headquarters. It should get there within a day at most, right?"

"No problem." Magellan took a sip of wine as well and readily agreed. "It won't even take a day. It'll arrive tonight."

Before Shiryu could speak, Magellan recalled something else and raised a brow. "Your fiancée, that ensign, is currently recovering at Marine Headquarters. She'll probably catch a ship next week and come to Impel Down to visit you."

Shiryu's right hand tightened around his wine cup and trembled slightly. Even his breathing became somewhat hurried.
