Noah froze for a moment. Before he could figure out what that was supposed to be, another line of notification text popped up right after it:

"It's hatching already?"

He glanced back at his two friends, who were still sound asleep, and decisively locked the bathroom door.

The moment he turned around, he watched helplessly as a white pet egg glowing with a faint blue light appeared before him and slowly began to crack...

"Please don't be too huge..." Noah silently prayed. If it bursts through the ceiling, that'll be hard to explain...

Still, the egg itself did not look that big. What hatched from it should only be a young cub, right?

Crack, crack.

Under his gaze, the cracks in the eggshell spread wider and wider until, several seconds later, it finally shattered completely.

A fluffy little white head poked out from inside. Resting on the broken shell, it curiously looked around for a moment before finally fixing its gaze on Noah's face.

It looked a little like a Samoyed, and a little like a Ragdoll cat. But the most eye-catching feature was its pair of eyebrows, shaped like upside-down magatama. The more he looked at them, the more familiar they seemed...
