Noah was undoubtedly a humble and courteous person.

But since she had been so arrogant and cold from the moment they met, there was naturally no need for him to lower himself and greet her with a smile.

So he could not be bothered to explain anything. He merely frowned slightly and calmly met Rear Admiral Buma's gaze. For a moment, neither of them spoke first.

The atmosphere at the dock immediately became somewhat stiff.

"Hey! Boss Noah!"

Just then, a delighted shout suddenly rang out, breaking the harbor's silence. "Haha, I knew you'd be here!"

Noah was slightly taken aback and turned to look.

He saw Kawakawa Shuma, skinny as a monkey, somehow appearing in the distance. He was waving excitedly at Noah as he jogged over.

"Shuma, what are you doing here?" Noah asked curiously once the other boy reached him. "It's only five o'clock. Shouldn't you still be sleeping soundly in the dormitory?"

He remembered that the little brat had kept complaining last night about being exhausted and wanting to turn in early.

"Hehe, I'm picky about beds. I barely slept all night and got up around three or four."

Kawakawa Shuma scratched his head a little sheepishly. "I was bored out of my mind, so I wandered around. Then I ran into a few female staff officers who had just gotten off duty."

"They kept talking about how some recruit from Marine Headquarters had requested a combat mission in the middle of the night. I guessed it had to be you, Boss Noah. Since I had nothing else to do, I signed up and came over too. Haha."

He had always held Noah in high regard. Back when they had first entered the Recruit Camp, he had addressed him as Brother Noah, just like Rosinante did.
