Background / History

The Heavenly Fire Sect is based around Prefecture City and maintains both outer- and inner-sect divisions. Yuan Long recommends it to Jiang Tian as a place of safety and an opportunity for cultivation after unrest in Blackwater County. 19

Jiang Tian enters the sect after its aptitude-test formation initially fails to light any pillars, only for all twelve pillars to illuminate once he exits. Daoist Qingchen awards him 12,000 contribution points and accepts him into the sect. 38 39

The sect later breaks its longstanding limit of ten True Disciples when Sect Master Ji Fuyao establishes Jiang Tian as the eleventh. Ji Fuyao’s decision provokes opposition from Zhu Tiangang and Lu Qingyao, while also placing Jiang Tian at the center of the sect’s internal factional rivalry. 49 50

Following the secret-realm expedition and escalating White Lotus Sect hostility, the Heavenly Fire Sect joins the Azure Cloud Sect and Beast Taming Sect in a life-or-death alliance against the White Lotus Sect. 113 114
