Beast Group Species

The Ant Clan, allies of the Dragon Clan... or rather, former allies.

The so-called "Ant Clan" was merely a designation. They were not "ants" from this planet; they could not even be said to count as animals in the strict sense.

Their relationship was similar to that between humanity and the Sea God today.

It was only that, as the Dragon Clan gradually sealed itself away, and the Ancient Dragon Emperor sealed off this world as a breeding ground for cultivating civilizations, forbidding other races from entering, the ties between the Ant Clan and the Dragon Clan gradually broke.

But just how close had the relationship between the Dragon Clan and the Ant Clan been?

The Shapeshifting Spiritual Power created by the Dragon Clan had originally been modeled after the Ant Clan's innate ability—differentiation. The Shapeshifting Spiritual Power now passed down among the Demon Race of Divine Land also contained some of the Ant Clan's techniques.

According to the immortals' classification, this race was called a Beast Group Species.

A Beast Group Species possessed collective intelligence.

Creatures of this kind possessed intelligence no less than that of humanity or the Dragon Clan. But this intelligence did not come from this individual or that individual; it came from the whole.

Only when acting as a whole was a Beast Group Species an intelligent life-form. The number of individuals within it, and the condition of every individual, could only influence the Beast Group Species' personality and mind.

Or, to put it another way, what each individual of a Beast Group Species contained was merely a cluster of thoughts, part of its thinking. Through spiritual power, sound, Electromagnetic Waves, pheromones, and other means, those thoughts formed an organic whole.

To a Beast Group Species, every individual unit was a cluster of neurons, while
