Beast Group Species had two defining characteristics.

First, every living being and every individual that made up a Beast Group Species had to belong to the same species.

"Soldier ants," "worker ants," and "Ant Queen" might have vastly different appearances due to extreme specialization, but they all belonged to the same species and possessed highly similar bloodlines.

By the definition of biology, a Beast Group Species possessed the intelligence of a "population," while Sea Gods were "communities."

Furthermore, every individual unit of a Beast Group Species carried part of its memories and even part of its thought circuits. Losing a single individual meant losing part of its memories. If more than one-third of the individuals within a Beast Group Species died, it could even lose its ability to think as a result.

This too was completely at odds with Sea Gods. If they were Beast Group Species, Mi would not have enough intelligence left to serve as Feng Luoyi's assistant.

The memories of Sea Gods did not exist within any cell. Instead, they circulated within their bodies in the form of "cultivation methods." It did not matter if their mana diminished. So long as their heavenly cycle did not break, they would not lose their memories.
