After confirming the plan, Harry placed an encrypted call to the X-Men.
A faint electronic hiss came through the communicator. A few seconds later, Charles Xavier's voice sounded from the other end.
The old man's tone had been noticeably lighter lately. After all, ever since the Mutant Act had been implemented, the government's propaganda machine had been running at full throttle, and the living conditions of Mutants had visibly improved.
Harry had no intention of making small talk. He laid out the Skrull mess and then made his request. "We need to modify the Cerebro amplifier to amplify a specific psychic signal and broadcast it worldwide."
Silence fell over the line.
Harry did not press him. The Cerebro amplifier was the X-Men's absolute top secret—one could even call it a strategic nuclear weapon.
Opening it up to outsiders carried far too much risk.
