Background / History

Harry is the son of Norman Osborn and inherited the Osborn family’s genetic disease, which accelerates cellular aging. He pursued a cure through gene-editing technology originating from the Kryonaut world and recruited Dr. Curt Connors for the project because of Connors’s regenerative-biology expertise. 14 16

Working with Connors and his own research team, Harry achieved a cancer-treatment breakthrough that transformed both his public reputation and the Osborn Group’s market value. Norman subsequently resigned as chairman and installed the seventeen-year-old Harry as his successor while remaining the company’s largest shareholder. Harry regarded the company’s wealth and influence as tools for his larger objectives. 15 16

William Stryker’s revelation of Mutants redirected Harry’s work toward the X-Gene and superhuman biology. After Stryker attempted to have him killed, Harry infiltrated Stryker’s base, killed him, and copied its Mutant genetic sequences, Sentinel plans, Weapon X records, and Adamantium formula. 16 47 51

Harry expanded his research capacity by creating Prometheus I, a biological computer built from a cultivated brain and bio-electrodes. Harry approaches supernatural phenomena as scientific problems rather than impossibilities. When first shown evidence of Mutant powers, he concluded that seemingly irrational phenomena merely reflected insufficient understanding and sought the laws behind them. 16
