During any experiment, a researcher's intense desire to see a particular result could lead to absurd conclusions.

Under such circumstances, science—which required countless repetitions and verifications—should have been rootless duckweed, forever unable to come into being.

Yet Aleister Crowley had forcibly developed science in this world, relying on a technique known as "Archetype Control."

Simply put, it was a technique for controlling the collective subconscious cognition of humanity.

It forcibly established a framework called "science," then bundled Academy City, supernatural abilities, and all related theories into it.

Those within this framework, no matter how deranged their thoughts or how obsessive their will, could no longer resonate with the magical phases.

Without a doubt, this was the only way for the flower of science to bloom in the soil of magic.

But Zhang Qi had seen through its essence.

This was not liberation, but another form of confinement.

Its ultimate result was merely herding humanity out of the gods' prison and into another prison called science.

And Aleister Crowley's ultimate goal was to use humanity's collective cognition of science to create a phase called science.

Then, using that scientific phase, he would brutally overwrite every other colorful phase on the canvas, until the entire world was left with only one monotonous color.
