"Black Zetsu, how are things on Orochimaru's end?"
Midair, Uchiha Madara communicated with Black Zetsu through mental will, but even after quite some time, he received no response.
Six Paths Sage Art had originally been created by the Sage of Six Paths to counter the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, Kaguya Otsutsuki. As the embodiment of Kaguya Otsutsuki's will, Black Zetsu was naturally restrained by Six Paths Sage Art as well. That blow had not killed him, but it had left him unable to speak for quite a while!
But in Uchiha Madara's eyes, Black Zetsu had been created by his Yin–Yang Release. First, he had used Yin Release to materialize his own will, then Yang Release to infuse that entity with life force. Seeing Black Zetsu injured now, he immediately separated a portion of the endless vitality pouring from his chest and sent it into Black Zetsu's body.
Black Zetsu received that sliver of vitality, and instantly... it did absolutely nothing.
Still, Black Zetsu knew he had to "pull himself together." Otherwise, if Uchiha Madara grew suspicious, things would truly be disastrous.
"Lord Madara."
Black Zetsu spoke weakly. "The battle on Orochimaru's side ended some time ago. Naruto defeated Orochimaru, the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, using Six Paths Sage Art, and extracted the nine Tailed Beasts from Orochimaru's body. The Ten-Tails has reverted into the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path."
"Then where is the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path?" Uchiha Madara asked.
"They... seem to be planning to transplant the Rinnegan Orochimaru left behind and use Planetary Devastation to seal the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path," Black Zetsu said. "As for the current situation, I don't know either."
