"Guy, when did you get here?"
Kakashi's eyes were full of helplessness as he hurriedly changed the subject to distract Guy. Otherwise, once they returned to the village, he would never have another peaceful day.
Guy panted heavily. After seeing Houka's Super Whirlwind Style Two earlier, he had worried about the situation here, so he sped up and arrived ahead of the others.
"Where's Gaara?" Guy looked around. With the urgent matter at hand, he asked, "Where are the Akatsuki members?"
"They've all fled. Gaara is dead too. We were one step too late," Houka said.
Guy walked over to Gaara's body and sighed only after confirming it, feeling sorry for him. Then he asked curiously, "By the way, when I came over just now, I saw Naruto running off. His expression seemed off. What happened to him? Was he close to Gaara? Is that why he can't accept Gaara's death?"
Houka and Kakashi exchanged a glance, then both shrugged.
"Well, who knows?" Kakashi said.
"Don't dwell on the details," Houka said with a wave of his hand.
The two then headed outside.
"Guy, take care of Gaara's body and hand him over to Sunagakure. Then our mission will be complete," Kakashi said.
Guy was exhausted. He had just opened the Sixth Gate and blown Yura apart, then sprinted all the way here, and now they wanted him to handle corpse collection too. Did they have no respect for Taijutsu users?
Just wait until we get back. I'll show you two what happens!
Guy hardened his resolve.
"Houka, since Chiyo developed One's Own Life Reincarnation, is it possible for Gaara to be revived?" Kakashi asked softly.
Houka pondered for a moment. "Gaara has already lost the One-Tail and is no longer a Jinchuriki. His value to Sunagakure has greatly diminished.
