The old butler's eyes narrowed into slits. "Master, Princess Lantan sent it."
"Oh, and Princess Lantan said that this isn't just Saint Realm Silver Dragon Blood. It's from a mutated two-headed silver dragon, making it even more precious than ordinary Saint Realm Silver Dragon Blood!"
"She said it was a surprise for you."
The old butler pointed toward the living room. "Master, Princess Lantan is waiting for you there."
He had no idea Lantan was an Angel. He simply thought that a beautiful and powerful princess was a fine match for Lei Lin!
Looking toward the living room, Lei Lin thought, What a shame. She's an Angel. Her nature and will are fundamentally aligned with the Main God of Light, so I can't get too close to her.
After taking the time to wash up, Lei Lin went to the living room to meet Lantan. He was prepared to play along, but hadn't expected her to be so restrained.
Her gaze was still tender, but she was no longer as aggressive as she had been over the past couple of days.
"Lei Lin, do you like the surprise I brought you?"
Lei Lin put on a delighted expression. "Of course, Lantan. I'm very happy to receive this gift."
"But I was wondering where such a precious material came from. I know it's not very polite of me to ask, but..."
His delighted expression was tinged with eagerness. "Can you get more?"
"This one sample isn't nearly enough for my research!"
"Of course, I'm willing to pay a fair price!"
The smile on Lantan's face faltered slightly, then quickly returned. It's no wonder Lei Lin has achieved such strength at his age.
Even with the honor of being the best in history, he still has such a thirst for research and learning. Ninety-nine percent of mages probably couldn't do that.
