Background / History

Lantan is a Four-Winged Angel: a biological weapon born from the Angel Reincarnation Pool. Angels possess the strength granted at their birth and cannot further cultivate or improve it. Although they have independent thoughts and emotions, their absolute loyalty to the Main God cannot be violated. The Radiant Church treats them primarily as highly useful tools rather than as people. 23

Her identity as a princess is genuine, but it serves alongside her duties to the Radiant Church. As the only Four-Winged Angel in her squad, she holds authority over her angel subordinates. 22 23

Lantan is a capable actress who initially convinces Lei Lin that she is merely a frightened sixth-level warrior. During the Dark Church ambush, she performs the role of a princess unwilling to abandon him, only to reveal that she had concealed far greater power. 18 20

She is sincerely devoted to the Lord of Light and views recruiting or supporting exceptional talents as part of that devotion. After witnessing Lei Lin's willingness to protect her and his ability to challenge ninth-rank opponents, she becomes personally interested in him and proposes becoming his future concubine. 22 23

Despite her angelic constraints, Lantan is not emotionless. She develops affection for Lei Lin, regrets failing to secure their relationship sooner, and gives him rare dragon blood to support his research. 24

Story Role / Major Arcs

Dark Church Ambush

Lantan meets Lei Lin at King Clyde's social gathering and asks to accompany him to inspect Saint Realm Tyrannosaurus Rex blood. She presents herself as a sixth-level warrior, then accompanies him into a Dark Church trap. 18

When the assassins demand that Lei Lin kill her to prove his allegiance, he instead attacks them to create an escape opportunity. Lantan refuses to flee, reveals that her weakness was an act, and joins the battle as a ninth-rank powerhouse. 20

Radiant Church Counterattack

Lantan and Lei Lin cooperate against three ninth-rank Dark Church operatives. While she engages them directly, Lei Lin uses lightning magic and electromagnetic attacks to disrupt their movements. 21

After Radiant Church reinforcements arrive, Lantan captures one enemy alive. Lei Lin realizes that the Church had used him as bait to disrupt the Dark Church's operation, while Lantan confirms that her original assignment was to protect him. 22

Angel Revelation and Recruitment Attempt

Lantan reveals her Four-Winged Angel identity and explains the nature of angelic loyalty and fixed strength. She heals Lei Lin with Radiant Battle Qi, allowing him to study its unusual purity. 23

Following the battle, she attempts to draw Lei Lin closer to the Radiant Church by arranging his meeting with Falling Leaf and presenting him with rare Saint Realm mutated Two-Headed Silver Dragon blood. 24 25
