Fushimi Makoto's end suddenly fell quiet.
Yukino had been patient at first, but she waited a full five seconds and still heard nothing. She couldn't help wondering if he hadn't heard her clearly. "Are you listening?"
"Do you want me to keep my mouth shut, or do you want me to tell Aunt Yukinoshita that I want to win you over?" Fushimi Makoto's voice finally came through.
Yukino's tone turned stiff. "Are you being stupid again?"
"Give it up, Yukino. You're terrible at changing the subject."
"..."
Fushimi Makoto continued, "Are you thinking that if someone as brazen as me told Aunt Yukinoshita on camera that I wanted to win you over, you'd have an excuse to give yourself a way out?"
Yukino remained silent.
But the longer she stayed quiet, the more it confirmed Fushimi Makoto's guess.
With an excuse, she could tell herself that Fushimi Makoto had made the first move and kissed her against her will, and that she could still stick to what she'd said: "I'll never date you."
Even if her mother found out later that she'd gone to his house again, as long as her mother knew he was trying to pursue her, it wouldn't be too hard to explain.
There was another advantage, too: Now that my mother knows what you're up to, surely you won't dare act so shamelessly around me anymore.
At the thought of him playing with her legs and kissing her, Yukino felt both flustered and strangely excited.
Yukino didn't like having too many things beyond her control.
So she needed to create an opportunity for herself and take back control of the pace as soon as possible.
But she hadn't expected Fushimi Makoto to understand her so well that he could uncover what she was thinking in just
