On the first day of winter break, beneath the bright morning sun, Jiang Linyuan was firmly trapped by his blanket.

A blanket was the perfect sex partner: endlessly patient and considerate, carrying your scent all over, adjustable to any size, and cuddling you night after night. Even if you farted on it, it wouldn't say a thing.

I'm blanket-sexual! I love you, my old blanket!

"What time is it? You're still sleeping!"

The bedroom door swung open, and Jiang Zhiyao barged in with a broom, utterly unreasonable and looking impatient.

"Get up! The weather's nice today, so take the blankets out to air!"

Love wasn't always smooth sailing. There was always someone trying to tear me and my blanket apart.

Jiang Linyuan tugged at the blanket and looked at Jiang Zhiyao, who was cleaning his room.

"What are you doing? How can you come in without knocking?"

"It's not the first time. You're not going to take off at this hour, so what's wrong with me coming in?"

Jiang Zhiyao was so overbearing, holding the broom as if she'd sweep him up with the trash if he said another word.

Jiang Linyuan climbed out of bed and hoisted the blanket over his shoulder.

"Where's the blanket from your room? I'll take it down to air out, too."

"You're not even going to wash up?"

Jiang Zhiyao asked with obvious disgust.

"I'll do it when I get back."

Jiang Linyuan walked out and saw the folded blankets on the sofa. He called out,

"I'm heading downstairs now."

"Wait. I'll go with you in a bit. We can stop by the supermarket and buy some groceries."

College students were on break, but high school students weren't, so Mother Jiang and Father Jiang were still busy with work.

With nothing else to do
