The supermarket was bustling with people. Since it was winter break, lots of kids sat in shopping carts, enjoying the fun of riding the coin-operated kiddie cars.
Jiang Linyuan was all grown up now. He wasn't as childish as those kids.
He was poking at the rice in the grains section with a scoop.
"Don't act like a little kid!"
Jiang Zhiyao pushed the cart and bumped into him.
They were both adults now!
"Want to try it too? It's fun."
Jiang Linyuan scooped up some rice, then handed Jiang Zhiyao a little scoop.
"No, I'm all grown up!"
Jiang Zhiyao snatched both scoops from him, put them back where they belonged, then grabbed his hand and dragged him away.
"Come with me to the snack aisle."
"Weren't we here to buy groceries? Why are we buying snacks?"
"We're already at the supermarket, and you drove here. We might as well get some snacks for winter break too."
As they chatted, they arrived at the snack aisle.
"How about we get some fruit too?"
Jiang Linyuan grabbed a bag of potato chips and casually tossed it into the cart.
"Sure. Let's get some oranges and pomelos."
Jiang Zhiyao pointed to some little cakes on a high shelf.
"Stand on your toes and get the cakes on the top shelf of the third row. I'm too short to reach them."
Jiang Linyuan reached up and took them down, then tossed them into the cart. When he looked back, Jiang Zhiyao was staring at him.

"I just realized how tall you've gotten all of a sudden. Back in middle school, you were a whole head shorter than me."
