If forced to say, Teacher Haihara could actually discuss magic with her.
After a while, the drinks arrived; they ordered two cocktails, and there would be large mugs of beer later when they ate.
If it were just these drinks, she shouldn't get drunk, nor would she have to worry about turning into her gray-haired form.
Roland's drink was a deep purple like grape juice, with bubbles floating inside, reflecting the lights in the glass like a translucent, crystalline gemstone.
The one Teacher Haihara ordered was much flashier.
This drink had four distinct layers from top to bottom.
Roughly from top to bottom, they were wine red, milky white, cyan, and deep purple.
The name of the drink was Flowers, Birds, Wind, and Moon.
It sounded quite artistic.
Teacher Haihara wasn't particularly moved by the name, but she was curious about what it would actually be like, so she ordered it to give it a try.
"Looking at the instructions here, you can shake this drink before you drink it."
Roland didn't seem to have any intention of drinking immediately, just waiting expectantly for Teacher Haihara to try it first.
Listening to what she said, Teacher Haihara tried shaking the glass.
Then, from top to bottom, the liquid slowly settled and merged, bubbles churning constantly, gradually blending together like a slowly brewing furnace.
After being shaken until uniform, the drink underwent a change as wonderful as magic.
It transformed from the original four layers into a deep, dark green.
"That's truly magical..."
Teacher Haihara took a sip, and a complex yet refreshing texture immediately landed on her tongue; at first, it felt a bit strange, but the subsequent sweetness and the taste of alcohol were exceptionally distinct.
At this moment, Roland also picked up her drink and took a shallow sip.
Teacher Haihara was a little curious about the taste of Roland's drink.
After drinking for a while, the food they ordered arrived.
Teacher Haihara drank while devouring fried chicken.
Meanwhile, Roland lowered her head, looking at the tofu Teacher Haihara had ordered for her.
She used a spoon to scoop up a piece and placed it into her mouth quite calmly.
After taking a bite, Roland put down the spoon and wiped her mouth.
"Is it not good?"
Teacher Haihara looked up at her slightly.
"...No."
Roland shook her head, her expression becoming a bit complex:
"It's just, why did you know that I like eating tofu?"
Teacher Haihara felt that Roland would probably like eating tofu.
She couldn't say what the reason was; it was just intuition.
"I thought you would like eating tofu."
She spoke the truth.
Roland didn't say anything, just sat there in silence for a while; soon, she ate a few more bites, revealing a somewhat happy expression.
It was clear that she liked the tofu very much.
The two of them drank for a long time.
In front of Roland were empty glasses one after another; even with her Magical Girl constitution, her head felt a bit dizzy at this point, and she felt like she was losing her senses.
But fortunately, she had already achieved her goal.
Through Roland's efforts, Teacher Haihara was finally drunk.
Teacher Haihara was also full of charm after getting drunk.
Although she didn't know why her vision was swaying, before her was Teacher Haihara, stained with the scent of alcohol and fully releasing the charm of a mature woman.
Teacher Haihara's eyes were hazy, as if veiled by a layer of mist; she was very close to Roland now, gently exhaling an alluring breath.
Roland couldn't help herself at this moment, finally revealing a satisfied smile.
She gently embraced the drunken Teacher Haihara, as if caressing the most cherished gemstone—
"Teacher, you seem to be drunk."
"Mm... you said you would take me back, right? You have to take responsibility properly."
This woman was covered in the scent of alcohol, snuggling into Roland's arms. Her tone was incredibly sultry.
The atmosphere was filled with romance and desire.
"And... you have to take me all the way home."
Haihara reached out and stroked Roland's chin.
"Oh my, you're truly far too drunk. How could I just waltz into your home like that..."
Roland was already struggling to contain herself, yet she still tried her best to remain restrained and polite:
"However, Teacher, you must have had a very difficult time these past few years. You need someone to properly pamper you. Even someone as perfect as you must feel lonely all by yourself."
She was the Teacher's most considerate student.
How could she bear to watch the Teacher remain lonely all on her own?
This wouldn't do; she had to be the one to comfort her, to comfort her thoroughly.
"Roland, you really are my most considerate and adorable student."
Haihara kissed Roland on the cheek.
"Heeheehee..."
"Heeheehee... Teacher, let me show you my specialty, Fusion Magic..."
In the bar, a silver-haired girl was acting out from the alcohol, muttering strange things that made Haihara feel quite embarrassed.
Haihara looked at Roland helplessly.
She had actually thought this young girl could hold her liquor.
This was just too pathetic; she was drunk after only a few glasses.
What's more, after getting drunk, she kept clinging to her and rubbing against her, causing quite a few people nearby to look over, watching the two women with curiosity.
"What kind of fusion... you aren't planning on performing some kind of lesbian act in front of me, are you?"
Haihara held a hand against Roland's forehead, pushing her away slightly.
Roland's tolerance seemed to be quite poor; after the first cocktail, she had started swaying, and after a large glass of beer, she began to ramble incoherently.
Though she couldn't understand most of what was being said.
Roland's gaze was unfocused as she slumped onto Haihara's shoulder, breathing out the scent of alcohol. For the moment, Haihara didn't seem to have any way to deal with her.
Suddenly, as if Roland had sunk deeper into her intoxication, her eyelids grew heavy, and she muttered to herself in a daze:
"Teacher, don't leave me behind ever again..."
Compared to her previous tone, this time it seemed to carry a hint of sorrow.
"I want to follow you... even if it means betraying the Kingdom. Why did you abandon me..."
Haihara was quite familiar with this kind of situation.
This was roughly what being drunk felt like.
When you're a little tipsy, you get excited and talk nonsense; drink a bit more, and you start acting crazy and throwing tantrums; but sometimes, when you're truly drunk, you start remembering painful things.
Although she didn't know what Roland was thinking of, watching a young girl speak in such a tone after getting drunk made her seem rather pitiful.
She gently patted Roland's back:
"Wake up, you've had a bit too much to drink."
After being patted, Roland slowly pulled away from Haihara's shoulder, but her arms remained wrapped around Haihara's neck. She then looked up, staring at Haihara with hazy eyes.
Those eyes were confused for a moment, as if she couldn't see clearly, so she freed one hand to adjust her glasses.
Then, the rims of Roland's eyes turned red.
"Wuu..."
The silver-haired girl seemed even more upset. She stroked Haihara's face with one hand while saying through tears:
"Teacher, I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
She hugged Haihara tightly as she cried.
Haihara felt a bit helpless.
Glancing at the gazes shifting toward them from the surrounding area, she snapped her fingers.
She was a little tipsy herself now, so she could use a bit of simple magic.
The people around naturally shifted their gazes away, no longer paying them any mind, as if they didn't exist. For a moment, only the girl's sobbing remained.
Although she didn't know what was going on, Haihara felt she should comfort her regardless.
And for some reason, she felt that she truly ought to do so.
"Mm, it's alright, I'm not angry."
Haihara stroked her head and said gently.
"Then why did you punish me with your death..."
Although Roland said this, she seemed to have been comforted.
She leaned in a little closer, gently kissing Haihara's neck, and carefully touched the delicate skin with her teeth, unable to bear even leaving a mark.
Feeling the cool, itchy sensation on her neck, Haihara felt that today's drinking session was a bit strange.
Looking at Roland's pitiful appearance, Haihara didn't know why she felt a touch of tenderness, perhaps the same level of concern she felt for her own students.
She simply hugged Roland gently—
"This is just a dream you're having because you're drunk."
Author's Note on Launch
This is the author's note for the book's launch. The book will officially go live tomorrow. This is my second book; I remember getting the launch time wrong for my first one, and I didn't even realize it had gone live until Friday.
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has supported this book up to this point. Thank you, thank you~
When I first wanted to write this book, it was because I was watching Pretty Cure and the fight scenes were incredibly cool, which filled my head with all sorts of ideas.
For example, what if there was a Magical Girl Zack who got an authentic Bandai toy, ate dirt with the Kamen Rider belt, gathered the power of the Four Heavenly Dragons, had a punch force of 100 tons and a kick force of 300 tons, combined the power of all Magical Girls, became the most benevolent, virtuous, and strongest, and single-handedly blew up the whole damn world???
Don't you think that's cool? It's so cool, and it fits my imagination of a Magical Girl perfectly.
And so, this book was born()
However, I mainly really like Chris from Is This a Zombie?.
When I first saw Chris's transformation in the anime, going from a background teacher to a Masou Shoujo, I thought it was truly interesting, so I wanted to write a similar scene.
I hope that what I write in the future will also be something you all look forward to and enjoy.
Finally, I'm asking for your first-subscription support.
Given my level of failure as an author, I don't really have a concept of what a first subscription is, nor do I know how to set up rewards. However, I currently have almost no backlog, and since school is starting soon, I can basically only maintain a daily update schedule. Therefore, for every 1,000 first subscriptions, I will add one extra chapter. If I can't keep up, I will slowly make up for it later, with a maximum debt of five chapters.
Once again, thank you all for your support~
