Stone Serpent had used some unknown method; in any case, the seven great fiends likely had not died completely. It then opened other rifts and sent them over. As it happened, Ning Ye had taken on the debt-collecting task. The Heavenly Dao could not stop the Demon Abyss Rift from opening, so it simply opened a convenient door in Heaven's Center Realm and handed the matter to Ning Ye to resolve—while also collecting the debt.

This Demon Abyss Rift was anything but ordinary. With the eighth-realm Stone Serpent pulling strings behind the scenes, let alone Ning Ye, even the Nine Holy Venerables could stumble and fall if they were careless.

Fortunately, Ning Ye now held the advantage of information. He knew earlier than anyone else whom he was facing.

That allowed him to make many preparations in advance.

Only a wisp of the fleshball fiend's remnant soul had escaped. With Stone Serpent's abilities, it had probably already sent it over. Since it was a demonic soul, it would most likely reincarnate as well.

So the true threat was not the Demon Abyss Rift at all, but rather some unknown newborn infant during this period.
