Confronting the Saint Venerable (Part 1)

Seven Nights Star Lord rode the Nine-Star Moon-Ascending Boat, already closing in.

After chasing Heaven Silkworm for all these years, his opponent had finally stopped running.

Yet there was no joy in Seven Nights Star Lord's heart.

The immense pressure ahead affected him as well. Seven Nights Star Lord had realized what it was even earlier than Ning Ye.

"A Great Dao divine weapon, laws made manifest, proving the Dao through divinity, a Sovereign's remnant... So it is this... I see. Just as I thought!" Standing atop the skiff with his hands clasped behind his back, Seven Nights Star Lord understood everything.

"Heavenly Dao, Heavenly Dao... are you still as you have always been? Using me as the touchstone for testing Ning Ye?" Seven Nights Star Lord snorted coldly.

Back then, he too had been a child of fortune and undergone the trials of the Heavenly Dao.

But in the end, he had failed.

He had ultimately forsaken all favor of fortune, and from then on, could advance no further.

Though he was now a Saint, cultivating the Heavenly Dao above, with cultivation capable of reaching the heavens and piercing the earth, and knowledge that outshone all ages, he was no longer a favored child of the Heavenly Dao. In this lifetime, it would be difficult for him to make even an inch of progress.

But even so, Seven Nights would not give up.

Those who could become Saints did not necessarily possess great wisdom or great courage, but they certainly possessed ambitions soaring to the heavens and a spirit that would never be easily crushed by hardship.

Most importantly, he was only a Saint of the seventh realm now; he had yet to become a Sovereign.

Fortune's favor merely determined one's ultimate destination. It meant one had
