After leaving Starwatcher, Ning Ye once more set foot upon the road of seeking.
The starry sky was vast and boundless, the star realms endless as the sands of the Ganges.
Along the way, Ning Ye had seen countless star realms and countless forms of life. He had seen even more cultivation paths so novel and wondrous that they left one amazed. Some belonged to the Heavenly Dao system; others did not.
From time to time, he would even witness the demonic realms making a comeback. Their methods were just as strange and bizarre, varied in every imaginable way.
Yet the ever-growing breadth of his experiences only made Ning Ye feel that he knew less and less. Like a child, the farther he traveled, the more he felt the immensity of heaven and earth, and the minuteness of himself.
But on the other hand, Ning Ye felt that this heaven and earth were much like those hive universes. In essence, they were still tiny; it was merely that he himself was even more like a speck of dust.
He had also wondered whether he could, like certain beings in those hive universes, break free from this place and face an existence greater and more vast. Yet he felt that it was meaningless, an absurd fancy.
Where the end lay was not important. Perhaps what mattered was simply being on the road.
Ning Ye let out a soft sigh.
In such a state of mind, Ning Ye's heart became ever more detached and tranquil.
As he traveled onward, roaming the sea of stars and seeking true knowledge, he found his own joy in it.
