"Big Brother Naruto, don't go! I'm being bullied by bad guys! Come save me!"

Muttering to himself, Naruto took Hinata's hand and quickened his pace.

"Waaah—Big Brother Naruto, I misjudged you—"

Seeing this, Konohamaru's tears began to fall in grievance.

Kankuro smirked smugly. "Heh heh, kid, your Big Brother Naruto is just a coward—"

Before Kankuro could react, he was sent flying and slammed heavily into a tree.

"Don't you know there are some things you can't say?"

Konohamaru landed hard on his butt. It hurt, but he did not cry. Instead, he happily hugged the leg in front of him and said excitedly, "Big Brother Naruto, I knew you cared about me."

Naruto said expressionlessly, "If you don't let go right now, I'll kick you flying too. Believe it or not?"

Naruto and Konohamaru were not close.

A few years ago, Konohamaru had witnessed Naruto's brazen antics of throwing rocks at people in the street. Konohamaru imitated him, then, unsurprisingly, got beaten up badly by his family.

When Naruto threw rocks at people, it was fine.

So Konohamaru recognized Naruto as his big brother, but Naruto had no interest in playing with children and had always treated him coldly.

"Big Brother Naruto, you really know how to joke—"

Konohamaru did not believe him and hugged him even tighter. Naruto made as if to kick him, and Konohamaru gave an awkward laugh before hurriedly letting go. His gaze turned to Hinata as he ingratiatingly said, "This must be Big Sister-in-law. You and Big Brother are truly a perfect match—"

"Big Sister-in-law—"

Hinata's mind was spinning. She could no longer hear what Konohamaru said afterward.
